    My Top Tip. Enjoy your run, fast or slow, hilly or flat, technical or wide open and easy just keep smiling and and roll along with the lumpy bits. We chose to do this.

      That was my 5th tip Stuart! You have to enjoy it when you're out on the trails 😊

    Is it possible to do a tips video on best exercises/stretches for warm up / cool down, and maybe one for the key strength exercises to support a training program? keep up the good work, love the content.

    Thanks Loyd, never get tiered from hearing from others about tips. My additional tip is that don’t feel shame if you walk during your trail run or race. A walk or power hike will boost your mental fitness and you WILL need that

      I came on here to say this. A lot of road runners don't realise that walking is part of a deliberate strategy in trail running and especially ultra distance. It's not about being fast, it's about not slowing down the most. (easier said than done!)

      Couldn't agree more Naim, you can't beat a good old march up a big hill mate! Hope training is going well and you're looking forward to your 50k 🏃‍♂️💪

      Road runners can find this part of trail running very difficult but they come around in the end Ian 😊
      Hope you're fit and well, thanks for watching mate 🙏

    Hello everyone. Any recommendations on a trail run race (half marathon distance) for a beginner and not too far from London?

  • @seansixfive
    @seansixfive ปีที่แล้ว

    Yep, TIP 5 resonates with me. Be present. Forget all those niggling problems and allow your senses to inform your present moment experience. Notice what you can see, what you can smell, what you can hear and what your body is doing. Tune into the present,💪

    Thank you for another great video. I love running and fast-packing, even when it's raining. Does anyone have any advice, recommendations or experience on waterproof shoes they could share please? I was thinking of getting some Saucony Peregrine 13 GTX shoes. Thanks again. Such a great channel.

    For me it's just going slow and enjoying the time out on the trail. And until you know the specific trail its fine to look down at where you are going. I've definitely fell many times on the trails i've run on countless times.

    If I put my Salomon soft flask in my belt, it leaks as soon as the tip gets pressure from the fabric. I had to buy lockable ones from Decathlon but it’s a bit annoying as they’re not such a nice thin size and slosh around more when half empty. How is this not happening to you, Loyd???

  • @paulmulks

    I hate videos like this where the music comes on and it's louder than the talking part

    • @clab06
      @clab06 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Run4Adventure maybe you should lower the volume of the music..

    • @Run4Adventure
      @Run4Adventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@clab06 The music isn't loud at all on my laptop or my phone? Sometimes the music can play louder on certain devices? Unfortunately that's out of our control and we can only gauge the volume when we're editing the video on our laptop and it sounded fine then 👍
