- Justin Currie, Iain Harvie and Andy Alston take the viewer on a trip through their scottish hometown, accompanied by their trademark self-deprecating humour and a number of their popular tracks. Recorded in 1996.
Superb video which demonstrates that you can be music celebrities and still hold down to earthly values. A great insight into the guys, their home and history. Thanks for making it and for sharing!! 👊🏼
I have watched this on TV more than 20 years ago and loved it. I was looking for a copy of it ever since, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Thank you so much for sharing this! This made my day.
I feel the same! - had it on VHS but lost the cassette - searched it several times in the net, never found it.
Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for sharing. I had this on VHS and wasn't able to watch it til now! Today I saw them live in Stuttgart!
Awesome! And the topper was hearing one of my favorite all time Del Amitri songs: Surface of the Moon! BRILLIANT
This is absolutely brilliant! A real masterpiece of documentary, and a priceless timepiece! Thanks for the upload!
Wow! Been a fan since 89 and never knew this video existed! Awesome!
Thank you I searched so long for it.
This is absolutely wonderful!
Andy’s face @ 10:12 is priceless! 😂 And with Justin’s response “It’s art!” LOL! Thank for posting this. I loved the Del’s all through the 90’s and got to tour Scotland in 2002.
That's one of my favourite songs...I don't know Glasgow that well but it resonates with this song for sure.
Great songs.
I absolutely love this!
The first time I got to LEAVE America, it was 1998 and I was in London and it must’ve been 6p. The streets that had been completely clogged with cars were now ABSOLUTELY EMPTY! I turn to my sister and ask her “We are in a major metropolitan city, right? Where did everybody go?!” And then I start to sing Nothing Ever Happens out loud to my sister and whoever else was out there with us. 🎶Traffic lights change when there’s nothing to go. And by 5 o’clock everything’s dead and every third car is a cab…🎶
This really happened... I was the traffic lights at the time
Wonderful video.
George Square, whatever happened to those brilliant grass patches & why?
Glasgow reminds me of Youngstown, Ohio, my hometown.
The German subtitles leave a few things out!
They probably could nae understand everything the guys said. ;-) This was sometime before "real" internet, and way before Google Translate.
