ooo intrigued to hear your thoughts on Gideon! I definitely couldn't have started that on audio, so don't recommend a fast speed! Intrigued to hear your thoughts on Starling House.
I am listening to Gideon and it's not as confusing for me as people make it, maybe because I was prepared to be :D I am maybe just a slightly more confused than usually while reading so that's not that bad hah. My mind wanders ALWAYS and it takes a special kind of book to stop it doing so lol :D Definitely listening on speed 1.0 (my max overall is maybe 1.5 but english is not my first language so I doubt I'll go up from that ever). Speaking of Starling House, I started that as well and it is THE book that makes me forget about everything and pay attention :D I'm enjoying it so far.
Twenty-sided dice are also d20s or dodecahedrons! And I really hope you like Gideon the Ninth! I also listened to it and the narrator is hecking fantastic! I would see if someone can take a picture of the personae vitae from the book so you have it to look at, though, because keeping the names and houses straight can be hard, especially at first, and in the second one the typography was important (I don't know if it is as important in the first one, but I haven't seen it).
d20! how could I forget about that! I was sure people were not calling it '20-sided dice' but my brain refused to work 😂 thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to get hold of that
Oh what an amazing method to decide what to read! I want to reduce my physical tbr and started rolling a dice and counting the book. Only after 4 books I was like „why am I always rolling something in the twenties?“ and then I looked at my dice which goes from 20 to 29 😅 I kinda feel betrayed 😂
omg 😂 I had no idea dice like this even exists 😅 I'm hoping to get through my physical tbr as well (and honestly I do not have any more space for books but am hoping to get some more shelves soon) and it is lots of fun :D
Are you a mood reader or do you choose your tbr beforehand?
