  • I needed to place this order to get the switch tracks where the throw is on the opposite side for easier motorization. While I was at it I picked up some R24 curves to test them out

Nice Video. Videos for Trixbrix R24 curves are really rare. So thank you.
If you are interested, I have some more R24 trains.

Yeah I would, even my cars had trouble making the turn 😅

Yeah, with the crossovers, they really intend for you to motorize them with their own in-house motors and electronics, which is what I'm planning on doing with my WIP layout

I've thought about picking some up at some point, for now I prefer to control / automate everything with Lego. They are nice and compact though!

Maybe R24’s could prove useful for short bits that need to curve sharply around another track or obstacle. Still would be hard on any large trains.

I may do some testing, but I won't be worried with large trains using them

I wonder if Jacobs bogies would work great on R24 turns. Might be great.

They'd really have to be very short wagons I would imagine. I just use them in yards for switcher locomotives

I can see having the switch stand on the outside would be very helpful.

Too bad I didn't notice they were an option sooner 😅

@Bricktrains: your Big boy train would probably catch them as well on the inside as on the outside.
But I like seeing it swinging out 😀

I'm curious how the R24 works on the well car, since the individual bogies work better on tight turns.

I'll probably do some testing at some point just so I'll know what works with them

Nice video! Do you have the link to the little black switcher locomotive in the beginning of the video? Thanks in advance

I've updated the description with a link to Masao Hidaka's switcher. It's a great design and quite impressive that there is a Powered Up hub crammed in there 😁

@@peterskanaal No problem. Masao is an excellent builder. In a recent video I rebuilt it in the Maersk livery 😁

Not sure what you mean? The TrixBrix switches either have the throw on the inside or outside of the divergent track. They are molded that way. Unless you meant something else?
