From what I heard, this hotel is NOT what it used to be. It is what is known now as a "tourist-trap". The staff seems to have been working here ever since it opened, the bathrooms are not really clean, the rates, food prices and overhead costs of maintaining the hotel are high, and the restaurant, V&A's bans kids under 10. All of these things can be taken as a sign that the hotel is starting to fail. It is not really "kid-friendly" either. IMO, being built in 1988, it has reached "functional obsolescence", and the only thing to attract more guests (especially kids) is to tear down this hotel and build a new "themed" kid-friendly luxury hotel. Of course, Disney is already planning to build a themed luxury hotel - a Star Wars themed hotel, shaped like the Millennium Falcon. I am thinking that the GF will be replaced with a "Frozen-themed" luxury hotel. It would be shaped like the ice palace in the movie, and would attract more kids. There would be "kid-friendly" fine dining (Resort Casual; jacket and tie would be optional), more activities and entertainment, and people would get to meet Anna, Elsa and Olaf in the hotel at certain times. It would be a great place for lots of families to stay at.
Wow I rode that in 1992 and again in 1997. What memories.

TurbinateArc747 You clearly have never stayed here
The Vertical-Transportation Channel And I never will. Also, I’m urging everyone reading these comments to AVOID this hotel at all costs.
