Moonbyul's melodic rapping stands out when compared to other female idol rappers but blends so well and completes Mamamoo's songs. Also, her naturally lower tone compliments the powerful vocals, the belting and riffs that Solar, Wheein, and Hwasa does.

Yuki is Japanese and she's killing it in all their songs by writing her own raps like GUURRRLLLL
Purple kiss is one of the best group that has debuted this year and I don't think anyone is outdoing Yuki in all aspects including her writing skills, rap flow and her confidence while rapping too. And their mv concepts are so vehement and they're really 4th gen's monster rookies.
pixy’s rap line is on par with yuki! they’re just as technically skilled and can all write. they were trained by a legendary kpop rapper! you should check them out if ur a fan of rap! their cb is on oct 7th

The fact that when she became a trainee in Korea, she can barely speak a word and used to be very quiet in their vlogs because she's not good at speaking their language but ironically became the rapper. Most idol rappers aren’t actual “rappers” so I do understand why some people don’t like raps in kpop songs.
On the flipside, there are idols that have sufficient rap training to have good raps in songs. They write their own verses & are able to blend it well with the whole song.
Eg: L.E, Moonbyul, Dami, Yeeun, Soyeon & Yuki.
Many of them are actual rappers if you write your verses and have a good flow and style, you are rapper imo.

I think the only other person I consider Yuki behind is Jinny from Secret Number. Secret Number has ye to give Jinny the chance to showcase her skills, but if you look up some of her self-written tracks, you'll see just why she is so strong.
The fact that g-idle, clc, mamamoo, twice and purple kiss came in multiple times shows how great their rappers are

Some of the twice raps are what I'd like to call singsong-rap or talk rap, especially Dubu where they'd mostly just sing fast or talk to a beat (subjectively, I'd see why people like their raps tho, bubbly and cute) but if you compare DubChaeng raps to let's say Moonbyul, you'd see a very clear difference on tone and speed. While Dahyun may have flow, her tone just overshadows it and when she gets speedy raps (do it again) she loses flow, gets breathy and is sometimes off beat, which is a sign of inconsistency. Chae is an interesting case, she had so much potential, but wasted by JYP, her best rap being the one in Sixteen showed so much potential but was still not that good, because she loses clarity and gets breathy with speedy raps, you just can't judge her properly when she's given raps like the one in twice songs

I love how Yuki is being praised her in this comsec. PURPLEK!SS deserves more spotlight considering that they have some of the best main rapper, main dancers and main vocalists in this generation. I don't know where rbw found these girls but they definitely hit the jackpot with them.

Another one I think should've been added is Mimi from oh my girl. Everytime she has a rap verse in their songs she does incredible, you can tell how talented she is since she is able to pull off spitting bars while doing a cute/innocent/magical/fairy concept and not anywhere near a girl crush/hip hop-ish kind of concept

I'm not sure about LE, but Moonbyul is definitely involved in writing whole songs, not just her raps. She is listed as a writer in some very vocal-based songs as well (example is Snow, a solo song of hers). Girlie is the highest KOMCA credited female idol for a reason.

There will never be another girl like Soyeon in the industry. She's composing and producing at such a young age. She can rap, sing, dance, produce, compose, she's an ace. The fact that she writes her own raps already makes a superior rapper to most of kpop's rappers. She's a gem, Cube doesn't appreciate her enough.
Other than Soyeon I really like Everglow's raps. I think they have that style that most girl group rapper don't.
Actually idk why Kpop rappers are given a chance to write their own lyrics, maybe it's because to sound more hip hop or give a tribute to them, so it's common for a rapper to write lyrics for their own part
However, Soyeon is on another level, idk where she gets her creative juice to be able to write all lyrics of the song, compose and even arrange the song
Cube is trash but their artists have real talent especially in self-producing
I really like Soyeon and have loved Gidle’s music from their very first release, but the thing that brings it down a little for me is that Soyeon is mostly the only one writing for their title tracks and that means she writes in her style, which evolved to be quite rap-heavy…
Doesn’t mean I don’t like the current songs, Dumdi and Hwa were actually great, but the releases between UhOh and OMG were not really my style or their early style… To be frank, I just missed the singers, Miyeon in particular!. She got a lot less lines, whereas in the earlier eras she was the main vocalist… And I am not really blaming Soyeon, she writes what she knows and she is evolving, but maybe some support from Cube would help other members shine more vocally, not just in rap!
Nonetheless, good job holding it together, Soyeon! As much as you have to do for the success of your group, I have nothing but respect for you!
@@skylergreen8958 Actually Minnie and Yuqi wrote some of (G)I-Dle's b-side ! On their last album, Lost was written and composed by Yuqi, Dalhia was written and composed by Minnie (with Soyeon's rap lyrics) and Moon was composed by Minnie. So 3 tracks over 6 was written/composed by other member than soyeon ^^
And since Yuqi released 2 single (with one written by her) I think she's growing up as a producer, and maybe Minnie will release a single soon ! I don't know about Shuhua, I think she needs more time to get confident at singing (she was critized for her pronounciation), but maybe in 2 or 3 years she'll find her spot on the produce line ! And Miyeon try writting lyrics, but I think she's not confident yet to show it, or not really into the creative process.

We all know how iconic Jennie's DDDD rap is and will always be. That rap is already an easy level for her, I am expecting her to release a new power rap like that one. She deserves it as main rapper

I'm EXTREMELY biased, but i think both the raps in La Di Da and Adios are phenomenal for how small the portions are. I admit to being biased as E:U is my ult but ye, the list is phenomenal tho!

I think twice have such potential rappers but jyp doesnt really let them shine. The only time jyp let them really rap was in feel special.

@@doublast4805 Her raps parts are always the shortest, but she spit fire each time. Wish she had the opportunity to shine a bit more. Unfortunately, because she is less popular than other members, the raps tend to go to Aisha or Mia (more recently).

@@jessicajessica4392 yes I hope that too, but recently producers have shifted to a more vocal representation, I feel they are trying to present a group who can do it all, for eg, First showcased everything dance, rap, vocals, I just wish that they experiment more or just create rap songs for E:U and Aisha

I also think that RBW is not that bad (compared to some other companies) they have their issues with promoting. Especially with MAMAMOO in recent times. But the give their idols a lot of Creative freedom and don’t overwork them that much
I saw Yuki on the thumbnail and clicked. lol. She's amazing, and the fact that she writes her raps in a language that's not her own (since she's Japanese and has only started learning Korean for two years or so) makes her all the more phenomenal. But what I love most about her raps is that they makes me want to jam on reflex. She has so much confidence and swag that I just get taken away.

I’ve always thought that Kpop has so many strong rappers who are given absolutely NOTHING to work with and the fact that there’s only a few artists who have more than one song in this video is proof. Also, one of my favorite raps in Kpop is in Eclipse by Moonbyul!
mostly bc rap is easier than singing and we already know not many of them can sing lol so they just train the weakest vocalists to rap
@@Cupidador Rap is easier than singing sure, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t difficult. Look at all the mediocre rappers out there and tell me that they compare to people like Moonbyul and Soyeon. Rap is something that takes talent and hard work, just like singing. And being a rapper doesn’t mean that they can’t sing either. Look at TWICE’s Chaeyoung and Weeekly’s Monday and Zoa. They’re all rappers with some amazing vocal talent too. I’d argue that despite being a rapper, Chaeyoung is a more stable singer than some other TWICE members and Monday is a main vocal.
