When I was 15, my father didn´t come home one night. My mom was desperate and crying looking for him on the streets and I was trying to be strong for her I guess, But I was really worried sick, so in my mind I just kept humming this song and it really helped me to calm down.
Long story short we found my Dad at 4am with a little help of my uncle. Turns out he got on a big car crash and he was passed out on the street. We took him to the hospital and he got better right away.
I guess I just wanted to say Thank you Bob Marley your music helped me so much that day

We played this for my dad in his last moments as he laid dying of cancer, my brother come down from prison with a guard and to see the guard sat there trying not to cry while the rest of us held my dads hands singing along as it was his favourite song of all time. Truly a magical moment for my family even in such a hard time and that prison gaurd looked like a tough bastard, with a heart; I just always think he will always remember that moment like the rest of us do. My son first played this song for me in the early '80s and it became my favorite music to listen to in the car, on the way to my (relatively stressful ) work. Still love it, after all those years, and well into retirement now.
