    Love 2024 Tundra, the luxury and the ride in 1794 is the best ride I have ever experienced in a truck. Sound system is amazing. I was between the GMC Sierra and The Toyota Tundra. Toyota blew GMC in price for truck. I went with the 2024 1794 TRD Hybrid ❤.

    I consider the tundra, but went ram. The price difference between similar msrp trucks was 15k. That’s with 15% off msrp and trade in. Toyota low balls trade in and acts like msrp is doing u a favor.

    I have a 23 Toyota tundra platinum and my seat does the same thing I’m gonna take it in for the 5000 mile service and have them look at it. I don’t understand what all these trucks have the same problem with the front part of the seat not going up I found that if you keep pushing the button over and over and over it’ll eventually start working but then two or three days you have the same problem.

  • @davidglover3380

    The rear seat headrests fold down if you pull them all the way up first (at least mine do on my '24 1794). 6.5' bed is minimum size for me and it was tough finding one. I went with the regular V6 and so glad - I knew the hybrid battery went under the rear seat but I had no idea you lost all storage and flat floor. I'm still trying to figure out how to display tire pressures - manual says it can be done but no instructions. And yes, the seat belt chime is deafening and obnoxious. At 200 miles, I'm getting 16 during mostly highway driving.

    Tundra was top of my list for my next truck, but having tried the '22,'23 and now '24 edition, I will say the 2021 Tundra is on the top of the list for my next truck. I think Toyota has taken a step backwards in almost every way. Crappy styling, Smaller rear axle, less storage. Not really a fan...

      @kodylaird9342 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 5.7 is a great motor, but a 4.30 rear axel ratio is obnoxious, the current rear axel ratio is MUCH better and doesn’t need to be as short because its now a 10spd everything is better about the new tundra except: exhaust sound and turning radius

    I have exact same truck and mostly the same complaints.
    Big complaint you did not address: The digital display shows range/MPG or compass on the left side. You get one or the other - not both. On the right side you have those two IForce / Max gauges which are useless. I wish those gauges could be removed so compass or range/MPG could be displayed on the right side allowing both to be displayed at the same time.
    The front grill is butt ugly. I was hoping I would get used to it but I am not.
    Lack of storage is bad thing - I knew I wouldn't like it - and I don't. I have to fold up the back seat and keep tools/straps/etc in a bin behind the passenger seat.
    I am not as thrilled with the rear view camera mirror. I removed rear passenger side head rest and focus the rear view mirror over passenger side corner of the truck so I can change lanes easily. I have done that will all my cars.
    Regarding the seat belt, you can get a seat belt extender that will stop the noise.
    The plastic IForce badge gimmicks on the hood interfere with your vision far more than the center infotainment screen. They are annoying
    The interior of the truck is best on the market I believe and that is why I bought it.

    There is not enough of a fuel economy gain to warrant the loss of the interior storage. For what that truck cost, you could have bought a Chevy /GMC with all the toys and get 20+ mpg on the highway, plus lots of interior storage. You have a great channel, and my wife and I will be checking out your new channel as well.

    • @bhonaker78
      @bhonaker78 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look up how many Chevy's have been returned before 5k miles in the last 2-3 yrs. ALOT. They're horrible.

    • @JIPlatium
      @JIPlatium ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only ones that get 20+ is the diesel engine trucks. Lots more interior? not really. The loss due to battery is because its a monster when it comes to HP and Torque. Yeah you can argue, but unless you opt for the towing package, you don't surpass it with a 1500 GMC/Chevy. Also you are left with little man syndrome with no panoramic roof option and a smaller infotainment. Also for cost, base truck from GMC/Chevy is cheaper, but it explodes above the Tundra when "comparably" equipped.

    I want to know the towing capacity of trucks to tow TTs and 5th wheelss.

    • @jaccole
      @jaccole ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Toyota website states this has a towing rating of 11,160 and cargo capacity of 1630 lbs. Using the safe towing recommendation of not going over 75% of max towing this would equal 8385 lbs towing and 1222 lbs cargo capacity. Even at max cargo capacity of 1630 lbs= “small 5r” pin weight (1400-2000) + passengers (350)+ gas/tools (100) + hitch (200)there are no fifth wheels that could be towed with this. Only 5th wheel’s would probably be one of the fiberglass ones, Escape 5.0/ Scamp 19. Be careful of RV salesmen,, they love to give empty weights of RV’s when discussing towing. I would not tow a TT without weight distribution hitch and personally would not tow a 8300 lb camper with this truck, but I am conservative. There is a lot more to towing than a sticker on the door jamb. I formerly owned a Tundra. Great reliable truck, but not the best towing truck out there.
