Jim and Strix literally just want to be eachother.
Strix wants to be a skilled and learned arcane master and Jim just wants to effortlessly cast spells for kicks and giggles.
We all know this is eventually gonna culminate in Jim's & Strix's wedding :D

I think the ending is Jim hits level 17, learns wish, and in the final battle with asmodeus as he conquers the realms, he uses it to ressurect Strix.

@@PaperSmiles if you haven't seen it, yet, I think the best jumping on point for this "arc" (for lack of a better term) is PAX West 2018. There aren't any recaps, and the setup is rather simple (DND bank heist). The fact that all of this is the result of that event still boggles my mind. XD

I've been listening since the first episode came out all those years ago with Chris Perkins. This group and these shows have been a great comfort throughout the years.
Kind of felt like an episode of DCA. Very fun.

He tries to add them, because he seems convinced it's not a given and he has to ask for it. But I suspect nobody responds to it because they think he already did add the modifier and is wanting to Viari bullshit into adding it again.
Yeah, most of the AI players need to learn to play the game better.
Please bring back Viari Patrick rothfuss love all his crazy shit and believe he adds and improves the story

Is that just because he doesn't add anything to his rolls? I mean he rolled a 3 Con save, but his Con is +3, so even without his proficiency bonus, he can't roll lower than a 4. It really seems to me like he just uses natural rolls without any bonuses...
Edit: He did add some bonuses at the end.
@@Nick_Vendel Yep, he was rolling using custom dice instead of clicking on the sheet which would automatically add the bonus. I guess everyone else assumed he was already adding it.
A sheet roll is going to do all the math for you which makes it easier to play but harder to learn since it's kind of like training wheels or an automatic transmission.
And they probably just assumed that he was using the sheet because doing it manually is just going to slow down the game.

We can hope so. More than anything I'm just kind of surprised Jeremy didn't notice. Like his mod is +4, it's impossible for him to roll a total of 4 on a strength check. Oh well, still entertaining.

I'm here for the Strix/Jim banter. As well as Strix's usual mixture of zany and awkward, which always fills me with joy. It's such a delight having Holly and Anna in the A Team games. 🤩

@Wizzykin I enjoyed Perkins. Miss him quite a bit....they definitely had a rapport. I simply think Jeremy brings something different. Perhaps not something better...but something that a lot of DMs could really benefit from.
Perkins didn't lack that skill....Jeremy simply does it well.

I listened to Death Masks from audible and was so surprised that Omin Drahn was in it. He seemed like the only masked lord that wasn't concerned about being assassinated, because I guess he could probably beat the shit out of any sellsword, and he can cure poison on himself

he may not have that title anymore. his two year absence is long enough most people probably thought he was dead or neglecting his duties and replaced him. it happened to dagult neverember when he ditch waterdeep for neverwinter.

Man i missed Acquisitions Incorporated so much, been watching it since 2010 and boy oh boy do i miss the audience and the table dynamic. Next time you should play in one room (with sufficient space between you), that will be even better than these online sessions.

When your pre-roll unironically mirrors your parody of corporate structure you may have strayed a bit. Wonderful as always though I really love the Acq Inc PAX shows to the point that I run my kids very first DnD campaign in the Acq Inc universe.
