Very good short drive which shows just how quiet and refined this car is. I bought a Twingo GT in March and have been very impressed with the performance, handling and economy as well as the build quality which is excellent. The cabin is quite spacious and the elevated driving position gives you an SUV like 360-degree view which is far better than I had on my previous car, a Renault Clio.
Is it possible to put the seat so high that you are no longer in the force position that your knees are way higher then the back of your legs? I love sitting high as long as i can push my back up high enough to sit in 90°C corner, For instance Opel Agila wich ppl hate, i loved for this. But i hate when your legs are pushed upright towards knees like in station cars.
@@Matti6950 Hello Matti, I traded in my Twingo GT a couple of years ago after 4 years of very enjoyable ownership. My car had driver's seat height adjustment and this gave me the elevated driving position that you describe. I hope this is of help.
Very stable and and fun to drive. It is also very economical ( 5.7l/100km) and has low running costs. I use this nice little car for Autobahn (most of the time the A7 Kassel - Göttingen and trust me, this Motoryway only consists of hills with up to a 9% gradient) and city travel. The engine is powerful enough even at motorway speeds. The car manages steep hills quite well, even with two passengers and a decent amount of luggage. Most of the time you have enought reserves to hold 135kmh at steep climbs. It is certainly not a racecar, but the tiny and nippy SCe 70 is quiet and gives you a pleasant driving experience and in my opinion deserves a little more respect. Note: The full potential of this engine is achieved after exceeding about 3000- 4000 km.
@@ottpsfj I think you might be able to drift in snow but long powerslides are impossible due to the very aggressiv but efficient ESP. Every time it detects a loss of grip, the Car tries to recover by braking the wheels and cutting power.
I am from Slovenia. Slovenia is the only country that produces this Renault car. It is very useful for driving around city, with engine under rear trunk and a driveshaft too. In my country it costs about 8.800€ with middle equipment(Expression) and 1.0 Sce engine.
Is the TCE louder then this 70 SCE? i kinda want a 80-90hp car but without the TwinAir Fiat engine grumpy sound or going to GT like. Opel is quite good sound wise, the original twingo too, the 70 sce convinced me sound wise, but the 90 sCe so far in video's sound VERY loud, but maybe ppl just testing it to much. One person so far claimed it's more silent actually.
I have to say, as someone who owns a Renault Clio, Renault is seriously stepping up their game. Especially design wise they are doing very well, but also the quality of the interior is becoming better. Their engines are quiet and dont require much. The Symbioz is just a showcase of whats possible. But don't get me wrong, theres still a long way to go.
Really thinking to buy this car, for anyone who owns it, can you go for a trip with it?is it noisy? Let's say with a stable speed of 110klm/h , how many revs does it have?
I own this Car. It is very comfortable for long rides. The cabine is very quiet for this kind of vehicle. You notice a slight Wind wistle at 110kmh tho. Driving with 130kmh, the twingo stays at about 3850 revs.
@@Twobbles thanks for your answer,so 130 KLM/h with that many revs it must not be a comfortable speed, I guess the engine will be noisy and thirsty too.100-110 KLM/h I guess is the speed it can handle for a long trip?I really like this car, it's a shame it didn't have the success I was expecting in sales
@@nikosBB07 I think it is very good actually. The engine is in the back and has a carpet with foam insulation wich is very thick and a metal plate covering it. The cabine is not noisier than a previous generation VW Polo. For a petrol the fuel consumption is quite okay. Driving with decent amount of luggage (going 130-140kmh) and at least one passenger, i never exceeded 5,9L/100km.
the consumption is not bad, i have now a fiat 500 diesel (1.3 engine) which is really cheap to drive, i really like small stylish cars, but im a little tired of the 2 doors of fiat. so im between twingo and ignis
@@nikosBB07 sounds interesting. In my opinion the twingo is a bit better made and is more fun to drive due to its rwd and stiffer Suspension. However you cant really go wrong with either of these two.
I don't understand why Renault hasn't launched this car in India, besides this they have launched Kwid in India which is very light car in terms of weight & even it fails in NCPP crash test, it got 0 star, it is totally unsafe car.

Twingo's go car graveyard before 100,000km :D
Juha Nyman
I've personally never heard of a Twingo dying before 100.000 km. You ?
Juha Nyman i work in a garage . The terrible cars are ford and opel. I hate that trashcars. Renault is not good not bad.
I have a Clio série 3 but jacking during thé night i cad préfèr buy new Twingo
I would trade my Logan for this, even though it's smaller
Another small and pretty car but in this case, a FR traction with rear engine. I think I'm returning to the past ¿Where is my DeLorean?
