This Air Force Academy Couple Beat the 1% and Tied the Knot in Venice Florida!
Tanner and Brynn are high school sweethearts who managed to get through 4 years of long distance dating while he was at the Air Force Academy. Only 1% of dating couples who enter into the Air Force Academy Academy actually make it out - they did. Through countless drives between Colorado and Oklahoma, FaceTime Dates, and scary health scares, they stuck by each other's sides.
You see, after a scary + unexpected health scare, Tanner found himself in the ICU during his junior year at the Air Force Academy. They learned he had Type 1 Diabetes, threatening his ability to commission or even graduate from the Academy. After a year long battle of advocating for his case, meeting with the right people, and diligently expressing his passion for serving in the military, Tanner made military history as the first person to commission with Type 1 Diabetes!
After such a scary year, they were finally able to get married in Venice, Florida! Family members traveled down to the beaches of the Gulf Coast to celebrate them and they had a party of a wedding on a boat cruise. So happy for the Johnsons! Congrats Guys!
