BOC are Valentine fans from what I hear. In an interview (if I remember correctly) BOC said something to the effect that, though working in different genres, both end up with similar results, and that they feel a kinship with MBV’s aesthetic.
Can you recommend some certain songs from BOC that sound very close to this? I've only found «Olson» and «Dayvan Cowboy», other ones bring pretty different vibe.
Early forms of B.o.C were said to be more of a "band", having a drummer as well as guitars & other conventional instruments, layered over top of early forms of their eventual signature collage of aged electronic based/sampled sounds. Check out the minute long snippet of "Wouldn't You Like To Be Free", you'll hear the MBV connection immediately. You're Welcome
specifically, a noticeably different part, sometimes disconnected completely by volume fades, that serves as the "end theme" to carry the song to the end mark

If it wasn't for the lack of children's voices and shortwave samples, I'd think I was listening to Boards of Canada.
corsair its actually very close to what those mbv coda sounds like, except theres no heavy fuzz in corsair

@@Zaryaaa11 Skyliner comes immediately to mind-really anything off the Trans Canada Highway EP. I think that’s their most MBV-ish record.

Sounds like "I believe" slowed down, without drums
Even though this undeniably slaps, anyone else like the album coda better?

What? What is this?
Lucas Rojas this is the coda on To Here Knows When on the Tremolo ep and not Loveless, that's why it's different
