I never met anybody who regretted taking a gap year, but I met lots of people who regretted not taking a gap year. Most people end up going straight into a job (out of necessity, peer pressure or fear to not find a job once you come back). Plus it's super difficult to decide your entire career straight out of high school.
I completely agree with the no regrets about travelling! I went travelling for 12 months after university in 2004! Whilst it was almost 15 years ago, I still think about it every single day! I met my wife in Sydney whilst on that year out and we’ve now been married 12 years and have 3 children! So yeah, never doubt how amazing travelling is!!!!!
Your videos are saving me right now, Christy! Got dumped about a month ago and still feeling really shitty about it, so I booked myself a week in Florida. However, you're now also making me wanna go and travel!!
I took 2 years out before deciding to go to uni , first year I worked to save for a year whv in aus but after 3 months I wasn’t enjoying myself and came home. It was all I wanted to do at the time but looking back I hadn’t planned it enough and was too young and inexperienced to go away for that long, I just wish I hadn’t used my whv so that I could try again when after I graduate. It winds me up because like you said you never hear of anyone regretting a gap year and even though it led me to going to uni I regret how I handled it and wish I could do it differently
Gap year after university is definitely much easier than taking it late like we have. That said, it's hard to beat traveling with your spouse (and adventure partner). Are you going to check out Coober Pedy? We loved our time there!
You’re literally such an inspiration! I’m moving to Australia in June on a working holiday visa! You should totally come to Las Vegas! I would love to show you the highlights of my amazing hometown!
I’ve always wanted to see the vivid lights! Unfortunately Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Is going to be in Vegas a week before that and I already bought my ticket /: I’m definitely going to be visiting Sydney, I’m going to be living in Australia for 1-2 years so I’ll get to see all the seasons! Lol thank you!
Always love your videos! It sounds like accent is changing you sound more Australian now! Also what is the song at the end and could you likn your spotify or his? Thanks Happy New Year! You should do a meet up if you go to Canada!
The work I do for my clients isn't really what I want to be sharing on this channel as it's not what I have created this platform for. And that's a very strong opinion about having kids that I'm gonna have to disagree with.
@@BackpackingBananas But I would love to see your work. Can you link some of it in the Description ? Strong opinion but unfortunately the reality. The world will be way more segregated in the future, the Governments are already overrun by clueless puppets, socialsecurity and education are going downhill already. Can you garantie the well being of your kids !? The answer is; No, nobody can do that.
@@peregrino9154 No, I dont let people do their own thing; its just wrong and irresponsible to bring little human beings aka babys in such unsteady. I do understand Chris perspective; she is just young, naive and got no clue about politics like most people her age.
