      I owned a Toyota (V6 Camry) once, it was junk. The only thing that was 'reliable' about it, was its ability to drain my bank account of money, because of the pricey repairs it needed. I will never own another Toyota, nor would I ever recommend that anyone buy one.

      It's really unfortunate people still think wagons and minivans are lame. This isn't the 80's with gigantic Chevy wagons anymore. These days, even regardless of how it looks, some simplebrain will still think it's a bad thing because it would classify as a wagon.

    • @rizzlerazzleuno4733
      @rizzlerazzleuno4733 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, would be intelligent for Toyota to sell the Corolla wagon here, but they want you to buy a RAV4 if you need cargo space. Other countries have a lot more choices in vehicles than US and Canada. But no shortage of CUV, SUV, and pickups. VW is dropping their wagon in North America to replace it with a compact CUV. The only advantage to the Prius now is either the plug-in option and the hatchback shape that lets you carry more stuff than a sedan.

      Q M V Cruise Control kills the mpg on my RAV. I use eco mode and watch traffic so I don’t brake much. It likes to be driven between 55 and 65 mph for the best mpg. 8th gear is very tall. I drive about 1/3 city, 1/3 exurban, and 1/3 rural. The engine shuts down at stop lights.

      I just bought one, despite two main complaints I have - no blind spot monitoring and no spare tire. At least there is a place for a spare, and I am considering buying a temp spare to take up some of that space (and a jack and lug wrench, of course). I guess I need to “learn how to drive” and not run over nails and stuff.

    I don't hate it, but it's almost frustrating how boring the dash is, I really think for a $600 upgrade, give it a JBL upgrade with Navi, heated seats, and either nicer hubcaps (to capture the same MPG) or nicer 16's rims (with maybe 1-2MPG loss), I'd take it. Methinks before this generation is up, they'll give it AWD. That would be another "take my money" option, too.

    The Honda Insight seems to be a step above from this model. And a way more handsome design. But this Corolla is more appealing than the goofy looking Prius. Especially since we now know that the Prius' weird looks doesn't contribute to low fuel consumption. 54mpg out of a conventionally designed car? Why go with the fugly car?

    So much marketing for the stupid hybrids.
    The money you save from the consumption, you have to invest them for new battery pack after,
    6 - 7.000 with labour.
    Also, the battery degradation gets more as the years passing by..
    The promised mileage will be only for the first years.

    I think Toyota did a good job on givng people more hybrid options. Not everyone want a sports car. Most just want a reliable vehicle will last years, without problems. The reason why Corolla is the best selling car in the world. Toyota Iso has more experience in hybrids than any other company.

      Not sure what the LE version is, but it lools basic enough. All the Hybrid versions are available in Ireland up to Luna, Luna Sport and Sol. The Luna Sport is great. I can't understand why they are all available over here in Ireland. We only have a population of 4.5 million and the USA is hundreds of millions???

    • @manenkoff
      @manenkoff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GerWalsh5 It has nothing to do with population numbers. It has to do with the attitude and mentality of the people buying cars, combined with government regulations, and economic shifts. In the US, we don't have as big of regulations on emissions and fuel economy as in most of EU. We also have far too many millions that still hold on to the "bigger is better" bs mentality and therefore want trucks and SUV's. I have looked at the EU Toyota site and am totally jealous of what they make available over there as compared to here. With that said, I have a deposit down on a 2022 Corolla Hybrid LE and can't wait for the dealership to let me know they have it and it's ready for pickup.

Of course I'm 70 years young to. I also show 650 to 670 range on my 12 gal. tank. I also do what you said in another of your videos I just watched this morning, I also "top" my tank off.
