My memory of this song is when I was 9 years old in 1967. I was climbing an apple tree in my back yard to get to my tree house when the refrain “blue suburban skies” came wafting out of a car driving slowly past my house. It was a sparkly summer day. I always remember those sunny blue skies whenever I hear Penny Lane.
It's wonderful that the younger generation also enjoys the fantastic Beatles. 😍

I'm 70 years myself and I believe it was a time that meant a lot to us.
In Liverpool or in San Antonio Texas The Beatles effected the world. I saw them on Ed Sullivan and I was a fan immediately. I still listen to their music and it never gets old.

I was 12 when this came out. As a musician even then, the difficulty in singing and performing this song is high. Emily you did this song justice, and it’s the best version I’ve heard. Well done!
As a 70 year old liverpudlian who has lived in Canada for the past 43 years, this beautiful version of penny lane brings tears to my eyes.

Absolutely incredible. This song has always been a masterpiece, in terms of these interesting key changes, the chord progression and the colourful lyrics about daily life. But... in Emily's transparent and crystal clear version, the song gets a completely new perspective and dimension.

There are several things that should be recognized about this young talent. Emily has not just a great voice but her delivery is so clear in particular her consonants are crystal clear. Love it. also her beauty needs to be noted. I love the fact that Emily dresses as a treasure and not a target. In my opinion this keeps all viewers focused on Her talent. Her beauty speaks for its self and doesn't need to be flaunted. I pray this never changes! Way to go Emily, you have a bright future ahead of you! Sooo good!

I apologize for being late Em. We got 5 or 6 inches of snow come down and I was busy getting the walks and steps cleared. This is as beautiful as always when you perform a Beatles song. Everything that you perform is always absolutely gorgeous my little songbird, it’s just that I don’t know what it is, but every time you perform a Beatles cover, it’s always over-the-top excellent. Perhaps you have the hands of Sir John gently guiding you, I don’t know, but whatever it is, it’s present in every cover you do of them.
