    Thanks, George. I hope you recover quickly.
    Even if you can only do one video every 2 or more months, we'll be happy to see it! (Now that Elly's back - yay! - I'm hoping for a Soap Makers Lounge video with her.)
    I'm curious if you've noticed an increase in the longevity of your bars since you reduced the amount of sugar you add.

      Thanks Elaine, it was a couple of months ago now, I recorded first half then and second half the other day hehe. Great that Elly is back! I'd hope to do another one soon! I have noticed it lasting longer with less sugar for sure 🙏

    Nice, thank you. I’ve been using the TD in oil in a bottle with a small carnelian or rose quartz tumble crystal to shake it up. Didn’t have a marble and it has a higher frequency too being a natural earth crystal. Works very well, shaking it up before I use it in the batch or to dilute colour pots... I now have some water soluble TD. If I make that up in a bottle of distilled water what would be its shelf life kept in the fridge?
    I make a sugar syrup solution too, got the idea from Ely I think. My last one was very watery, I think I didn’t simmer it enough for a thicker viscosity. So 1 hour or more you say? I also make up an activated charcoal in oil solution bottle, for an easy additive to the oil batch (I deduct the extra oil it introduces from the recipe). Also you can squirt the activated charcoal solution in a drop pour using thin lines to colour or swirl your soap bar in artisan patterns for contrast.
    Been soaping about 20 months now - learning lots from all my favourite soapers on you tube, including you George, thank you so much... From the UK. xx😮

      That's very nice idea about the crystals :) The TD I mix up for soap lasts months and months in the fridge, haven't had any issues with it spoiling. Should be ok. That's okay if it's a little watery it will still function as intended and produce a richer lather. I have never attempted to colour that way, I don't see why it wouldn't work, best to give it a try and see how it does. Thanks for the nice comment! 🙏🙏🙏

      Thank you. I explained when to add them in the video. Sugar with the oils, salt solution before adding the rest of the water required in your recipe before adding the lye 🙏

      It's 1% max of the oil amount, dissolve in the water before adding the lye

    salt rather than citric acid? Does this mean the lye doesnt have to be adjusted?

    • @DawnOrganics
      @DawnOrganics  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They have different functions. Salt is for longevity and hardness, it doesn't effect lye
