    For a lot of people cutting someone out is actually the easy way out because they avoid conflict that probably is gonna make them uncomfortable and put them in position to see their own reflection . That's a lot of work sometimes . There are two sides of every coin. In this sense i agree with your description of 5 of swords as necessary conflict and attempt to face the problem no matter the result . (some people also are afraid of conflict because they think they way lose the person if they speak their mind and set boundaries ). It's definitely interesting dynamic . One of the more complex cards in my opinion . Sometimes depending on the context of the reading i will also read it as - you don't have to win at all coast , your ego is not letting u see the bigger picture of the conflict or you have been hurt before (because the swords are the mental realm) and now you are automatically defensive and that's not a real solution . I also wish in the tarot community there is more of debate type of interactions rather than only showing decks. ❤

    I read the 5 of swords so differently. I definitely see it as a situation of defeat but also a reaction. I sort of think of it as a 3 way street, hence the 3 characters in RWS. The 3 characters or reactions are winner, emotional sook and acceptance.
    When it shows up in a reading I usually ask the querent what character are you in this situation of defeat.. and then I remind them you win some you loose some and now get on with it.

    • @AstralLadyTarot
      @AstralLadyTarot  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I relate so much to the “you win some, you lose some”. Definitely why I made this video, emphasizing the part where we don’t know what we lose; a person, our ego, a part of ourselves… I love that you ask your querents who they are in the card ♥️

    • @georgetsitsis1926
      @georgetsitsis1926 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @AstralLadyTarot they usually say that they are the victim character and I usually beat them up about that.. being a victim is way to easy these days, almost an excuse..
      So ye usually if the 5 of swords comes up in a reading the client gets to hear everything they don't want to hear from me... Sorry no refunds lol.

    Necessary Conflict feels like a truthful way to expand, the 5s to me offer a moment or an opportunity to cross a barrier. To face and mature into the other gifts (the 5- 10) To have the experience of "Necessary Conflict " will add in the upcoming life experiences. How to or why to carry a burden 10 Wands, etc. Very interesting video, many thanks.

    Just have few months ago the secret Dakini Oracle/Tarot and just start to learn and work with it….so I m very happy to watch your vidéo about….
    Again dear and beautiful Anna a great and very interesting share concerning the 5 of swords the RWS it depends on which side AS the 3 characters in the background or the character at the front of the stage. Differences of opinions and or communications…..some are wrong and one is in his right..... a masterstroke…a winning move
    In the TDM the 5 d’epees is around element air communication/thinking about superiority, hostilité, equals (ego), conquer and or compromise, reconciliation, diplomacy and reason….
    Thks Anna for your share👍👍👍👍👍love love your different merch that you have create congrat j aime trop the sweet with the moon…..ahahah I will get one hahahah👍👍👍👍

    Very interisting video and mindful thoughts are expressed here. I agree with "necessary conflict" and even in general it is important to speak ones truth even if -and especially- when it's our wounds deep truth. I just thought a singular experience would fit in this conversation: I encountered this card in a special situation where it made me see the situation in the RWS card differently: when speech is so inhabited by the wound's resistance that it is not able to include it's fundamental truth neither the other persons truth/experience, the defeat lays in conflict itself which didn't lead to "clearing up the air". I hope I am clear...? So for me it signifies also the defeat of conflict as a solution as a situation to accept (which is pretty difficult). I definetely could'nt have thought about this card that way without my own experience. So, it can be "bittersweet" as you say, but also just "bitter". A possible prompt of this interpretation would be: what deep truth of your wound haven't you said/shown/realised (your wound and/or the other's)?
    Thanks again for your precious thoughts and impulses!

    My niece and I are exchanging papers that have to do with tarot. I'm doing the upright meanings and she is doing the reverse meanings. It's just a fun exercise we thought up, to write down our thoughts about tarot meanings and correspondences we use during a reading. I wrote for the 5 of swords, "someone needs to modify their reasoning skills. Disruption with the intent to clear the air." I see the 5 of swords as a neutral card. A card necessary for maintaining balance in the deck. I used those "keyword phrases" because I think disruption and modifying are a key to growing. To be clear I don't see modifying as compromise, though there is nothing wrong with compromising. For me the word defeat leaves it open to who or what is actually defeated. I have also intepreted the 2 swords left on the ground (RWS) as what was left unsaid? Does it need to be said? I see the 5's in general as disruption and very action oriented.

    • @AstralLadyTarot
      @AstralLadyTarot  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That makes perfect sense and what a good Tarot game/ exercise! It reminds me so much of Tarot de Marseille meanings because of the 5 being an active number (breaking through) and 2 being receptive (staying in place) 🖤✨

      @@AstralLadyTarot That's so interesting, I guess I'll have to breakout my Tarot de Marseille deck and book. I have them but haven't read them yet. The five's are part of my tarot constellation according to the Tarot Handbook by Angeles Arrien. When I learned that, it showed me life is full of sychronicities, 5 has always been my favorite number. :) When I see a 5 in a reading the motto "challenge accepted" comes to mind.(yes I talk back to my cards) lol I see the odd numbers as action oriented and the even numbers as receptive in their expression.
