Reading 1 here. It resonates with my current situation at work. I, too, have an experience with narcissistic mother. As you say, it's a disorder these people are born with and they are incapable of self-reflection. They also lack empathy. And nothing makes them change. My mother hasn't changed until the end. Even terminal illness didn't make her see. She left this world without any kind of resolution, she never asked for forgiveness, she never said "thank you". These people are "socially disabled" so to speak. Stay strong and build your boundaries. It's the only thing one can do with these people.

Pile 3- OmG, I watched your video early this morning, and my hubby came home from dropping off my kid from school at 10 am and said let's go car shopping!😂 I was tired from playing games with a car dealer yesterday, was treated with no respect. It's a sellers' market and they weren't even trying to sell cars. The horrendous and most disrespecting experience ever was the fact that they were up selling a shitty car at an outrageous prices and were caught lying not once, but thrice and were not even apologetic about it!!!! So, I gave up car shopping. Anyway, back to good news, my hubby woke me up and we tried another dealership and it was like night and day. Many failed phone and beat around the bush calls to car dealers ended today! We just bought a car at MSRP no BuLLshit! I had to smile listening to you speak about pile 2. I was in a relationship with a narcissist for several years. I was focused on helping him not realizing that was his way of keeping me under his control.
The reason why he is holding on to my energy is that we have a son together. We live in different sides of the world, so he doesn't have any contact with our son a couple of years now.
Lately he has been sending me email trying to reach out again, and despite my moral compass telling me that father and son shouldn't be separated, I know (from repeated experience, unfortunately) that nothing good can come from opening up a channel for them to have a relationship. It was my mother, but we healed b4 she died. I have no memory of trauma, just love for her. My 3 kids are just like how my mom was, and I had to walk away from them.
