@@Connor-ib4hn Alrighty, then. Sorry if it's a bit long. #1: I love episode 3 for the same reasons everybody else does. Best pacing, best antagonist, great designs, great location, the list just goes on and on. #2: I'm slightly biased with how much I love episode 5. I am a huge Everywhere at the End of Time fan, so to see something like it in MD was a match made in heaven for me. With that aside, the revelations brought to me were both emotional and quite frankly terrifying. It was probably the most emotional I've gotten over this series. #3: Now is a good time to say that I REALLY don't care about the animation quality. Even if episode 1's animation quality wasn't as good as the other episodes, I still loved the writing, which is what I was truly invested in. Like episode 3, it had great pacing and animation. It also brought forth some interesting plot rules (like disassembly drones having to consume oil to survive). Unfortunately, they were retconned later on, which genuinely infuriated me. #4: I don't have too much to say about this episode. It wasn't really bad, but I didn't like it all that much either. I will say, however, that the comedy overlaps with the horror *way too much* in this episode. Other than that, it was pretty decent overall. #5: Similar to episode 4, I don't have much to say about episode 2. I just never really found it memorable. #6: I seriously disliked episode 7. I could not tell what was happening on screen, and it felt like there was too much emphasis on animation rather than writing quality. There was also multiple comedic moments that f*cked the horror moments over on an even worse scale than episode 4. I will say, however, that the Earth scene was easily the best in the entire show, in my opinion. That was the only time I felt truly disturbed when I was watching MD. #7: Take my problems I have with episode 7 and multiply them by a thousand. That is how I view episode 8. Atrocious pacing, comedy overlapping with horror, and more. The way that Cyn was defeated was quite possibly the most underwhelming villain defeat I've ever seen. It felt so sudden and unearned. The ending felt too good to be true, as well. It seemed happy-go-lucky like a children's tale. Maybe I just had the wrong expectations, but I would really love it if there was some sort of cost to the happy ending. But no, that didn't happen. I also hated how V was brought back, too. And don't even get me started on the countless unresolved plot holes. #8: Oh. My. Gosh. I absolutely HATED episode 6's ending. The biggest problem I have with this series overall is that there is way too much missed potential with the characters. V's "sacrifice" is the perfect example of that. Her arc felt so sudden and forced, and the way she went out was honestly quite pathetic for a so-called effective DD like her. There were so many ways she could've fought off the sentinels or just get in the elevator with the squad, since she has the speed to catch a fucking bullet. Episode 8 and Intermission tried to fix up V's arc, but the damage was already done, in my opinion. I could go on a tangent rant on how much I disliked the way V went out, but this comment is already getting long enough and I'm sounding borderline hostile at this point. So, there you have it. A summarization on my thoughts of each episode.
