  • Today we opened up a 1971 Topps Hockey Wax Pack with 9 cards inside. Please visit us at www.vintagebreaks.com for other vintage wax pack breaks.
In this episode of Vintage Breaks, Leighton opens a 1971 Topps Hockey Wax Pack. Leighton struggles to break open the PSA packaging. Once he does, he rolls the dice. The dice lands on twelve. The first card is Rod Gilbert. The second card to be drawn is Frank St. Marseille. Jacques Lemaire is the third card to be drawn from the deck. Bob Plager is the fourth card to be drawn. Bill Flett is the fifth card to be picked up. Marc Tardiff is the sixth card to be picked up. Frank Mahovlich is the seventh card to be picked up. Tracy Pratt is the eighth card to be picked up in the deck. The ninth and final card is the booklet of Garry Unger. Leighton talks about how they expected to have ten cards in the deck. The person who got the number then the spot will be reimbursed. Leighton talks about some of the other available packs to buy in on.
Each week, collectors from all over the world gather on Vintage Breaks to watch Leighton Sheldon, Mike Eisner, and their crew opens up vintage sports card packs and boxes live on Facebook Live, TH-cam, and Periscope.
It's a truly unique experience in the hobby that you can be a part of. We open up packs that are 50, 60, even 70 years old right in front of you, and everyone has a shot at getting these cards.
    How it Works:
To participate, visit www.vintagebre... and check out the available breaks on sale. Purchase a spot and you'll be entered into a drawing for that group. Once the group sells out, the real fun begins.
The picking order is chosen randomly before the break begins, and the box or pack is opened live on air. Everyone participating will get to see what they've won instantly. The cards are then shipped out to their new owners.
The really cool thing about opening these vintage packs and boxes is that it's making history each and every time. The amount of fresh material still in the original packaging is slowly becoming extinct. It's always fun to unearth these cardboard treasures and share them with the card-collecting community.
Remember, you don't need to buy a slot to get in on the action. Most of our fans simply tune in and watch for the excitement of it all.

I'd say the odds are probably one maybe two per box since there are 198 cards in the set. Interesting to see how the gum was wrapped.

You're not sure if FRANK MOHAVLICH is in the HOF??????????? One of the greatest 100 players of all time. Like 1100 pts in 1200 games ..... One of the greatest Leafs to ever play. 4 cups with Toronto. 2 with the Habs 71 was a cup winning year.

Scale Tipping Most Americans don’t know dick about the game. I hate seeing these breaks where they don’t even know who they’re pulling.

@@dan-b-gone6557 have to agree; just something about guys opening packs and they don't even know how to say the players' name or if they are HOF'ers or not. Maybe it's just me...

This is a rip off if people were smart they would just go buy a card they want instead of these packs and trying to get a certain card cause your chances are so small to get anything good.

My advice is to stop opening vintage wax packs. They will always be worth more unopened.

Crappy off-centered garbage from Topps. Everyone knows that O-Pee-Chee hockey cards are the real thing. Topps is just the bullshit version of O-Pee-Chee.
