@@franny5295 "People swim in wetsuits too. Fully covered head to foot." Do you know the purpose of a wetsuit? It's not for leisure activities. No one is chilling in the sand or poolside to get a tan in one. It's mainly for the beach and water activities like diving, canoeing, and swimming. "There's really no good reason for a swim suit to have less material than you can wear literally anywhere else in public without going to jail." People go to the beach or pool because it's hot. Less material means you aren't burning up and can enjoy the water touching your skin. Unless you live somewhere where wearing a bathing suit is illegal, then that is an exaggeration. Wearing a bathing suit in public would not get you arrested. "It is extremely hard to find a swimsuit that allows for any modesty at all if you're normal sized. Don't wait until you grow up! Start now there is nothing stopping you. Get a sewing machine or even sew by hand and start making. It is never to early.
This would be quite famous with Korean and Japanese people because the layers of garment works as a sun block 😂 I already dress modestly, but I also value sun protection very much!
I think it looks beautiful, but unfortunately like of modest swimwear, it doesn’t look safe. You should ask professionals under what conditions it is safe to wear
@user-qb3gm4pu2m you're just lucky enough that nothing has happened to you yet. If you were to suddenly feel ill ( or get hurt) while in the water all of that extra wet fabric would be your death sentence, you'd drawn faster than anyone else, no lifeguard could come fast enough to help you.
Look up swim dresses. They have been around for a while and are generally mid thigh. This just lengthens that to knee length, but the skirt is still very straight, not flowy with a bunch of extra fabric (there are in fact swim dresses that have much flowier skirts). The top portion is very similar to rashguards. And then there are leggings underneath. All three of these things individually are used safely for swimming all the time. There is no reason this combination would be less safe than any of them separately. You may be getting confused by the cover up part which tied over top. That’s long and flowing, but it’s clearly marked that it’s meant to only be a cover up when you’re out of the water. The swimsuit itself does not have a lot of loose or flowing fabric, just strategic layers for modesty.
I do not wear hijab. However, I am constantly putting and wrapping my head in a scarf as I feel naked without it. I feel protected with this. I appreciate you putting together a swim suit as you have. I really, really do. Thank you. ❤
The only issue I have with these is that all that fabric will take on water adding more weight pulling downward and lessening buoyancy. Also, fabric, especially loose fabric, impedes "slip" in moving through water and can become a source of pull if there is a strong current. So, if you are going to just stay in shallow water you may be OK. But if you intend to swim out into deep water you need to be aware that you are carrying more weight and dealing with greater resistance which can impede movement. Use caution, this could be dangerous.
This is amazing!!! I'm not Muslim, but I've wondered why modest swimsuits didn't exist. I used to teach swimming and had some Muslim women as students and what they wore since there wasn't modest swimsuits made it more difficult for them to swim. It makes me happy to know swimsuits for them exist now
They did exist and are called haşema in Turkey. But they were FAR from being modest when they were first spreading. At the beach I go to regularly, topless ladies would gather less attention than someone wearing haşema, mostly due to aggressively rich colors and the fabric hugging the body when wet. I'm an atheist and can't imagine wearing something like this to swim, but it's nice to see more people being enabled to participate. I see way too many women coming along to the beach only to sit on the shore to watch the kids and men.
Not Muslim myself, but I do find those great especially for places with ultra-aggressive sun. My skin burns so easily, even with sunscreen on, and it's the reason I basically never go outdoor swimming. Also, for 10 years now I have been living in a country where wearing bikinis or Western swim wear in general is not really culturally appropriate. Locals just don't do it. They will tolerate if tourists do it, but it's still a little awkward and another reason why I shy from swimming outdoors here. And last but not least, I LOVE the thought of being able to put something like this on even before leaving my hotel room/vacation home near the beach and just taking a stroll to and into the water. No awkwards changing at the beach required. So yeah, 1) awesome sun protection for sensitive skin, 2) more culturally appropriate for many places and 3) looking great enough to wear even en route to the location you want to swim at. Seems like a great product to me!
I just want to say thank you so much for all your work and dedication to the hijabi sisters of islam! I recently started wearing hijab, and i live in a conservative state in the US. With summer coming up, i wanted to find something functional and modest to go to the beach in (although i am aware, i would still get looks grom people, but they are just missing out!) And i saw this and instantly subscribed! I cant wait to try them out! May Allah SWT bless you sister❤️

This is a great and beautiful execution, but please be careful swimming in open waters with flowing fabrics and ties - you can get caught somewhere on a rocky bottom.

True, they're modest, but not great for swimming per se. Full body movements are hindered. Also, take into consideration that dry fabric and wet fabric behave differently, and thus differently affect movement. What works on ground doesn't necessarily work in water. If you just want to move around a bit in water, it'll work, but if you truly want to swim, it won't.

Second, since you brought up professional swimming, then you know this design won't enable fast swimming. There's a whole science behind sport swimwear. If you claim otherwise, please compete in this design, and compete in the one designed for sports. Let us know your results. I'll know if you're lying.

@@sofijones5048The base requirement for hair covering in Judaism is that the hair be covered. Wigs are only worn in certain communities, and headscarves are frequently worn.
@@sofijones5048 yes, it absolutely would! However, the standards for headcovering under Jewish law would be fulfilled by a swim cap, as the only thing that's meant to be covered is the hair. Hijabs are far more concealing than that, and I can think about a lot of reasons that a woman who isn't obligated to cover that much wouldn't want to.
Latter Day Saint here! We are encouraged to be fairly modest, and I think that modesty for those who choose it should be celebrated and embraced like this!
I’m a Christian girl who is a hijabi and doesn’t like showing her hair, and is overall trying to become modest. This is going to help so much this summer. ❤

Do you think it's not possible to be modest without hiding your whole body from head to toe? And I see you still wearing makeup and having patterns and colors on clothes? And you wanted to design a modest swimsuit that is flattering?? I'm confused. Modesty has everything to do with behavior and little to nothing with clothes.
@@duz_machines_8429in Islam we follow the rules of Allah not your own ideas of how things work, and they got a point about makeup as the point of hijab is to be modest and not to be flattering
I really enjoyed the first swim suit, modest and practical for actual swimming. The second one looks nice but feel it would feel uncomfortable for actual swimming. This is definitely a classy option for women who want to be fully covered when at the beach or pool.
How do I like a video over and over again? Like I have been thinking about more of swimsuit shirts and pants lately and would love the bit more modest swimsuit (they are hard to find, I do feel okay with normal swimsuit, just would be fun to have a shirt, prevents more sunburn) I am so glad muslims get more options in swimsuit!! I know there is going to be more who will love to buy your design for the safer feeling and fashionable sizes!!
I am seriously asking myself if this is safe for diving/swimming in nature with all the material floating around…. Isn’t there a danger to get stuck? I understand that modesty is important but discarding safety for modesty is questionable
I think if the cloak is loosely attached by threads/fabric strips, and the material is somewhat porous (though isn’t highly retentive), there shouldn’t be an issue. I don’t know if that’s the case here though 😅
This is exactly what i was wondering. While i respect wanting to find clothing solutions for modesty, safety is priority and excessive fabric that also has potential to flow or get caught is dangerous. The excessive fabric can even slow you down against currents.

Modesty can still be cute and this aint cute . Its just a dress and pants. Hardly a swimsuit. I doubt this actually comfortable to swim in or even sit on the beach in even.
I’m not muslim, and really love bikinis but i think this is so great for people who don’t think the same as me, don’t feel comfortable with bikinis or those who cannot have too much exposure to the sunlight but enjoys staying at the beach and all these things. It's really important that out there are options for everyone, great job and love from italy 🇮🇹 ❤❤❤
I love your story! You did all of this living and life and then decided to design a bathing suit. Sure you have a lot more creations in you! Brilliant mind.
I’m not Muslim, I’m Christian, but I support your beliefs and your choices… my only concern is the safety of this swimwear… that’s a lot of fabric. You need to have unhindered full range of motion when you swim & this swimwear looks like it would make swimming more difficult… fabric sticks to you very uncomfortably and makes it hard to move properly… anyone that’s worn a shirt swimming or gotten a shirt soaking wet while wearing it, can attest to that.
Thank you so much for designing clothes like this! Its very hard to find modest clothing that looks and feels beautiful especially for swimming! Its so empowering to have options like this. Sending love from a Christian woman ❤
@@duz_machines_8429 not surprising that someone's comment would only consider extreme opposites, and not a balanced solution. It's always black or white with a lot of deeply religious people. But, it is possible to dress decently, yet not HIDE yourself from the world.

how do these work for actual swimming? do they become baggy or heavy at all? very interesting idea!! i see why it isn’t as easy as just making a ‘wet suit’ design as it’s still form fitting…was hoping to see how it looks after a swim!!
I don't think this swimsuit is safe. There's a lot of extra fabric that could easily become stuck on something especially in the sea or a lake. Seems like a drowning hazard honestly....
It's dangerous to swim with so much fabric flowing around you. It might get stuck on smth under the water or ravel your legs so you drawn. And it also feels disgusting to have sticky wet fabric all over your body.
So beautiful!! I would definitely get these one day and even some as gifts for my friends ❤️ they deserve comfortable, modest, stylish swimwear (tshirts and old hijabs do the job but they aren’t great swimsuits 😆)
I’m not Muslim and definitely not modest, but as long as someone doesn’t try to forbid me a bikini and doesn’t bother me, I’m absolutely fine with whatever others want to wear.
I am very light skinned and freckled, and beach trips for me are usually followed by pain of sunburning, and this provides so much protection for someone like me...... from peering eyes as well. Modesty in our country is underrated
I'm an Orthodox Christian and recently I started dressing very modestly and wearing veils in a similar way to the hijab because the Bible recommends that women should dress modest and wear head coverings, St. Paul writes that he wishes we “maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you.” He is passing on a tradition of women covering their heads. So wearing veils like a hijab makes me feel closer to God as well as following the Bible's instructions on how I should dress. I absolutely love swimming during summer and I live near the sea but I've been struggling so much to find a modest swimsuit to the point of thinking that I should give up swimming. This video was definitely a God sent!!! ☦️❤️☪️

Because to me that's a subconscious clue that whatever it is, is private.
@@franny5295 "People swim in wetsuits too. Fully covered head to foot."
Do you know the purpose of a wetsuit? It's not for leisure activities. No one is chilling in the sand or poolside to get a tan in one. It's mainly for the beach and water activities like diving, canoeing, and swimming.
"There's really no good reason for a swim suit to have less material than you can wear literally anywhere else in public without going to jail."
People go to the beach or pool because it's hot.
Bigger women have more option but even they are not modestly covered."
Plus-sized women have never had more options than "normal" size women regarding clothing, especially swimwear. One-piece bathing suits, shorts, and other modest options exist that you can literally Google. You're just making it hard for some reason.
""Swimming" is not a good reason for public indecency. If it needs to be skin tight for safety reasons, it can be skin tight for safety reasons but if I bend over in a bathing suit, my butt cheeks are visible. My cleavage is visible. I don't like it."
If you believe wearing a bathing suit is public indecency, don't wear one or go to the beach or pool. Clearly, they make you uncomfortable. I'm unsure why you'd buy a bathing suit that shows your butt and cleavage and then complain about it. You're creating problems just for the sake of it at that point.
"So I swim at home in my backyard behind a privacy fence. And I'm not insecure about my body. I just think that if I'm not ok with a stranger touching it, then I'm not ok with letting them see it. Because to me that's a subconscious clue that whatever it is, is private."

I think it looks beautiful, but unfortunately like of modest swimwear, it doesn’t look safe. You should ask professionals under what conditions it is safe to wear
Lol you really have no idea. I dress like that and I can swim perfectly. It isnt noticeable. It isnt a damn wedding dress pleaaaase
Hi sis, the flowy robe part is a on land cover up for when you're out of water. I have such overall swim wear and swim in them safely
@@Siriuslyyy ah ok I see! Thx for explaining. I really do love how it looks… and that makes so much sense for in the water
I do not wear hijab. However, I am constantly putting and wrapping my head in a scarf as I feel naked without it. I feel protected with this. I appreciate you putting together a swim suit as you have. I really, really do. Thank you. ❤
Oh you do? That's so interesting!
❤❤❤❤
The only issue I have with these is that all that fabric will take on water adding more weight pulling downward and lessening buoyancy. Also, fabric, especially loose fabric, impedes "slip" in moving through water and can become a source of pull if there is a strong current. So, if you are going to just stay in shallow water you may be OK. But if you intend to swim out into deep water you need to be aware that you are carrying more weight and dealing with greater resistance which can impede movement. Use caution, this could be dangerous.
That's true! I think the 1st black one was lovely. The final product would be great for a family day at the beach
This was my concern too. Be safe in the water ladies.
Beautiful!!! I’m not Muslim, but I would 100% wear this to the beach because of severe sun sensitivity! Love everything about this post- you’ve accomplished amazing things! Sending love to you, your team, and your beautiful, beautiful family ❤
As someone who is sensitive to the sun, take my money!
Sooo excited to order one for this summer! Jazakallahukhair for your efforts for us modest beach girlies! They look beautiful!
Aww thank you for the support!
I AM non muslim but I looove these you are soooo TALENTED
This is a great and beautiful execution, but please be careful swimming in open waters with flowing fabrics and ties - you can get caught somewhere on a rocky bottom.
True, they're modest, but not great for swimming per se. Full body movements are hindered. Also, take into consideration that dry fabric and wet fabric behave differently, and thus differently affect movement. What works on ground doesn't necessarily work in water. If you just want to move around a bit in water, it'll work, but if you truly want to swim, it won't.
@helloeveryone39 First, I've never compared men's and women's swim suits, so don't put words and meanings in my mouth. Second, since you brought up professional swimming, then you know this design won't enable fast swimming. There's a whole science behind sport swimwear. If you claim otherwise, please compete in this design, and compete in the one designed for sports. Let us know your results. I'll know if you're lying.
Third, I tried swimming in a swimsuit with more fabric, hence my comments; and it had less fabric than this one. It was interfering with certain movements.
@helloeveryone39 But that's what my point was. You can bathe in them, but not really swim.
@helloeveryone39 Well thank you for showing who you really are.
@helloeveryone39 And once again, thank you for mirroring - showing who you really are by seeing in others what's really inside you.
Always in awe when seeing your work, it's so nice to see so much positivity and care for something without having to pit it against other beliefs or practices to make it look good. You just know what you have to offer is great and beautiful and doesn't need any negativity to rise to the top. Many well wishes to you!
Modesty is not related to your looking, but to your being.. You can dress covered in black niqabs, like the arabian women, and being arrogant.. You can be in shorts and top and be a modest and simple person inside..
EXACTLY im ALWAYS modest even when my skin shows because modesty is about how you carry yourself and your.behaivior

I’m agnostic, but I always like to dress modestly, and I will definitely be buying these once I can no longer use my current long-sleeved one pieces.

@@sofijones5048 yes, it absolutely would! However, the standards for headcovering under Jewish law would be fulfilled by a swim cap, as the only thing that's meant to be covered is the hair. I really enjoyed the first swim suit, modest and practical for actual swimming. The second one looks nice but feel it would feel uncomfortable for actual swimming.
This is definitely a classy option for women who want to be fully covered when at the beach or pool.
I didn't think swimsuits could ever be made modest enough but this looks amazing!
How do I like a video over and over again? Like I have been thinking about more of swimsuit shirts and pants lately and would love the bit more modest swimsuit (they are hard to find, I do feel okay with normal swimsuit, just would be fun to have a shirt, prevents more sunburn)

FINALLY I BEEN LOOKING FOR A SWIMSUITS FOR HIJABI AND HERE IT IS🎉😆😆😆💫
I am seriously asking myself if this is safe for diving/swimming in nature with all the material floating around….
Look up swim dresses. They have been around for a while and are generally mid thigh. This just lengthens that to knee length. The top portion is very similar to rashguards. And then there are leggings underneath.

Hi sis, the robe part is a cover up for when you're out of water.
You do t go swimming or diving in the wraparound.. obviously its to be put on OVER the swim suit when you get out of the water

Thank you for your kind words!!
I love your story! You did all of this living and life and then decided to design a bathing suit. Sure you have a lot more creations in you! Brilliant mind.
My sister the foot , the neck and the arms are awrah❤
I’m not Muslim, I’m Christian, but I support your beliefs and your choices… my only concern is the safety of this swimwear… that’s a lot of fabric. You need to have unhindered full range of motion when you swim & this swimwear looks like it would make swimming more difficult… fabric sticks to you very uncomfortably and makes it hard to move properly… anyone that’s worn a shirt swimming or gotten a shirt soaking wet while wearing it, can attest to that.
Okay, but that looks super comfy, and even a good option for diving without the second outer wrap!
Honestly, growing up I was always trying to find modest swimsuits but none of them are as cute as these!

This is not modest dressing. It's downright meant to HIDE every inch of your body. Why not make one that is not revealing, yet functional?
But it is modest? What about this is immodest or nonfunctional?
@@duz_machines_8429 not surprising that someone's comment would only consider extreme opposites, and not a balanced solution. It's always black or white with a lot of deeply religious people. But, it is possible to dress decently, yet not HIDE yourself from the world.

I don't think this swimsuit is safe. There's a lot of extra fabric that could easily become stuck on something especially in the sea or a lake. Seems like a drowning hazard honestly....
Perfectly safe! Tasted in the open ocean 😉 and you don’t swim in the cover-up, you use it to cover up when the swimsuit is wet and sticky ☺️

Yea. This whole comment section is just yikes central. Where what makes you happy, I just wish it was an actual choice for people.
What flatters people is subjective
