I loved the cleanliness, friendliness, and natural beauty of New Zealand when I visited for a month. If I was young without ties and roots I would live there too.
I don't remember 24HR supermarkets in my time in London. And especially not on a Sunday, when stores could only trade for 6 hours only between 10am and 6pm.

New Zealand is not THAT safe and people need to know that. As for Ikea, we do make furniture in New Zealand and are supposed to be supporting local businesses now.
in comparison to the US it is. one of the appeals of moving for me is not having to worry about mass shootings any time i'm out in public. just not a reality in NZ and that's how i want to live, feeling safe like that.
@@lilalpenglow I don't mean to run down New Zealand but it just isn't as clean and safe as people are led to believe. The economic divide is widening rapidly and increased drug use is escalating crime and violence.

The sea snakes very rarely found on NZ beaches are victims of cyclones and current in the tropics, I recall one being found on a west Auckland beach a few years back, it was almost dead and euthanised by authorities, they said it would have died anyway as the waters around NZ are too cold for them and the type of food they require are not available in our waters.
I think the non 24 hour stores are an example of work life balance and that’s a good thing. I wonder why NZ doesn’t do their own version of IKEA. So off topic, but I think you recommended the jimmy choo floral, which I bought and I fricken looooovvveee it! Its good to highlight that we don't have a good public transport. With less the 5 million people there us no way we can afford one. We have two islands that has a slightly larger land mass than the UK and they have 65 million plus people. Economies of scale they call it.
Pretty cool, good observations. Never heard of the sea snake one - would be interested to see which areas these snakes have been spotted. Agree with yr public transport comment, even in Auckland the buses and trains dont go to all the areas, but fair comment. Good video 👍👍👍

There are no 24/7 pharmacies in my area but it's possible that there are in bigger cities - pretty sure you could probably find one in Auckland, but I don't know for sure.
Sorry, but gun information is not relevant. Is it eligible to have an air gun or a crossbow? Can you tell me about fishing? It it possible to catch some fish? What are the terms?
And no guns is why I would want to move to New Zealand. The number of guns held by the public is inversely proportional to the mental health, happiness, sense of humor and trust of the public. Kiwis are great!!!!
Just saying Aotearoa N Z it is better than those countries you came from and why is it important to find a supermarket at that time so lighten up if you intend to stay kia ora
Yes of course, we have people from all over the place in the world who have moved here. But among the people I live and work and socialise with in NZ we don't talk about someone being black or brown or white etc. If you're a citizen, or have just lived here quite a number of years, then you're a Kiwi. You might have Nigerian or Ugandan or Chinese or Indian or Turkish or Irish or French or what-have-you family history or culture and when we draw distinctions it's more an acknowledgment of the different cultures we have and the different places we or our families came from than the colour of our skin. What's interesting about someone is the kinds of foods they eat and holidays they celebrate and so on. It's probably because one thing we all have in common, even our indigenous people, is that we undertook long journeys from far away across the sea to get here. The Maori (sorry my Maori friends, I don't know how to put the macron in!) only arrived sometime a little over 700 years ago (we currently think) - so for virtually everyone in NZ it's not really very long ago our ancestors came here, even if we were born here ourselves. You'll find the greatest concentrations of different cultural communities in the larger cities and the further south you go the less diverse it gets, broadly speaking. (It takes those with things like the hardy Scots genes to stand the cold winters down there - cold by NZ standards that it is - people from warmer climes tend to like the North Island climate a bit better, that's my tongue-in-cheek working theory anyway). :-)
There cant be any jungle without snakes. Snakes are needed to reduce rodent population if there are more rodents then a certian number, then they will eat the seeds before the plants or grass grow. So snakes are very important for the jungle eco system

People of Pacific Island descent are more common than African descent but we have a multicultural society. Auckland is the most diverse and other cities are less so. Some places it would be quite rare to have a large ethnic population that isn't NZ European.
