Love the idea of not spending tons of money for a few hour shadi and then letting them sit in the cupboard , love it ❤ rather repurpose old dresses and only buy stuff that will be more wearable later.
Thank you so much for sharing your family event Aamna , you look lovely in all the outfits , my neice got married last year and she wore her grandmother’s ( my moms ) wedding Lehenga, red velvet with pure gold taar kaam Jaal on all three pieces , she looked breathtaking, the lehenga was worn by my mom ( Allah elevate her Darja in Jannat ) 64 years ago .
Aamna - Love all the looks. I totally agree with recycling but most of my family doesn't seem to get that concept. With South Indian sarees apparently things change in fashion so when I recycling my sarees this last time for my cousins wedding, everyone thought the cousin from US (me) didn't keep up with the fashion trends but I could care less. Not spending lacs of rupees on a cousins wedding ;)!
This video really speaks to the 'hoader' in me! I have seen growing up that Amma would keep saving new cloth pieces in the "BAKASS" (trunk!) for ages, aur wo kbhi kaam nhee aa patay thay! I heard in a podcast there's a difference between "decluttering" your wardrobe and "reorganizing" it! I think most of us need to give away what doesn't fit anymore or what we don't wear anymore, and let it go, and be more mindful about what we wear and how! CONGRATULATIONS to the newly-weds; may their togetherness and compatibility blossom throughout. You looked stunning in all events, Amna!
You look dead gorgeous in all your look♥️♥️ I love the idea of mix and match of something new and old. I wonder how you preserved your 25 to 30 years old clothes so nicely. I think you should do a video on how to take care of old clothes.
Loved your outfits, and the effort into recycling, upcycling old looks. My favorite though was your nikkah outfit - you looked phenomenal!! And the gold piece with your own shaadi dupatta, that too was outstanding. Both your boys looked dapper, im taking points for dressing my own two boys, lol. Bride's looks were amazing too. Lots of dua for the new couple❤
Thank you Aamna for sharing your personal looks from a family wedding. My favorite would be the nikah outfit, not only yours but the entire theme of how the bride was standing out was lovely ❤️! The dholki looks were also very trendy and cute :)
Thanks for the brands you mention. I ordered a Mushi bag just yesterday. I'm an Indian based in UK, and this will be my first Pakistani brand purchase. So excited about it!
All the looks are good, but I especially LOVED THE black (qawali night), white (wedding), and pink (reception) outfits. They just looked fab, the hair makeup everything is on point
Love this episode of Fashion fortnightly. Thank you Amna for sharing your outfits. Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. Loved all your outfits but white one is my favorite. This video came out very timely as I'm deciding for a ghar ki shaadi and like you I'm a minimalist.
Each of the looks was absolutely stunning but my favourite one would be the ivory Nikah outfit. Also the one that you wore on dua-e-khair. Exquisite it was.
Oh and the Nikah outfit is my favorite of your outfits. I love the Dhaka Pajamas. I wish I could come to Pakistan one day to shop for Kurtas/Trousers/Pants. I think India (esp. South where my family is) is great with Sarees and blouses but not so much on the other stuff!
Loved your looks but that grey dupatta with mukesh didn't go well with green shirt and white pants. Idk I would've dyed that dupatta in some other color maybe 🙂
Lovely style choices maybe have more close ups of the completed looks of yours. I also share your sentiments as we went to a family wedding over December Holidays. It was amazing to be with family and have my kids meet extended family
With my sisters wedding comin up, this video came in so handy, i am going to focus more on what clothes me and my mom have and try to recycle accordingly. I dont stay in india so i dont feel the need to buy Ethnic clothing, will probably repurpose clothes from mine and my moms wedding trousseau. Wonderful video as always Aamna. Loved the black kurta and that dupatta tho most❤
I liked your reception look the most, you looked gorgeous and I just fell in love with the pink color of your shirt and the beautiful work on it…uff ❤❤
The emerald green kurta is stunning! You could have gone without the dupatta though but you still looked lovely 😍 I love white so the ivory outfit is my fave😍
Firstly love what you are wearing now. Earrings are so kool. I like the ivory and the green with muqaish dupatta on the dholki. You look great. More ideas on recycling clothes will be appreciated.
I loved the pink outfit with the white embroidery. It looked gorgeous. I also liked the black with gold on the sleeves, that felt like a timeless piece that could be work time and again and look new each and every time
Your ivory jora is absolutely stunning! I like how you are not overdone in any of the events. Your dholki clothes are good as well. I always recycle and mix and match new and old. Hailing from. India our silk is out of this world. Shawls on silk outfits look awesome. Liked your shawl. Thanks for sharing.
You looked great in all outfits but my favorite one is your ivory look at Nikah event. Looking forward to watch Yumna's look at Nayab's promotional events.
Love the colours and looks amna But what’s with the horrible black KAINCHI CHAPPAL u wear all the time!!!!????? Doesn’t go with your style at all especially on formal occasions Please explain 😊😊
Agreed 👍 no point spending so much of money on clothes, I hope the others also learn how to recreate a new look. I liked all yr dresses but loved the white one . I like yr style simplicity with style.
Don't mind the naysayers, these outfits were so royal and regal! ❤ Love you setting the trend of recycling and reusing clothes! We Pakistanis spend too much on weddings and waste too many clothes over a lifetime!
Awesome Looks❤ I believe it's perfectly ok to borrow occasion wear dresses from your close ones too for such weddings. Me and my sis do this even for vacation outfits
Loved ur ivory outfit... it was beautiful. Wish u has paired ur Muse green Kurta with green pants only... I am all for repurposing and restyling. Loved watching the entire vlog
Such beautiful outfits Aamna. I kept commenting on your Instagram also that I loved them and glad you did this video. Please make a video on how you care for vintage outfits and fabrics because each fabric is different. How you clean/ wash and iron and store them
Loved all of your looks ... your outfits were classy and elegant.. and you know how to carry them.. less is more and you looked stunning at all the events.. Much love to you❤
Thanks, Aamna, really enjoyed watching this episode - how you put together your various ensembles! Couldn't agree more on finding new ways to rewear - sustainable lifestyle! And yes, preserving our arts and crafts heritage.
Amna you r absolutely progressive optimistic lady loaded with recycling ideas ,beautifully described your clothes heritage ,I feel ladies like you must conduct session how to save money where to spend ,adopt simplified descent style ,I think our high profile sensible conversation is the prestigious valuable potential ,rather to make faces like stupid pouches ,costly dresses ,no content ,high hills with low mind ,it really contradicts, top of that such people asked to subscribed where they reflect themselves empty stomach n thoughts to rise in society ,honestly I liked ladies like you full of thoughts with simplicity ,well done Amna jeeti raho,
Beside wedding, I love the top you are wearing right now in this video. I wish I could see this full length. Also liked your green Kurta that u were wearing at the shop. I loved both these kurtas. I like your self love & confidence you carry. In fact you wear your smile so nicely
