Oohohoho, the Freedom and Justice were so overpowered in this game. Once they got their Meteor Packs they had a Super Robot's HP and attack power, with the range, accuracy and dodging ability of a real. PLUS, the bonus damage from the SEED status and a MAP attack. It's understandable why they changed the Meteor packs into a combined attack in Z :)
But the thing I love in SRW@3 is that Kira mans-up, becomes badass, and all thanks to......SHINJI IKARI OF ALL THE PEOPLE (justified that he himself became BADASS).
I guess some degree of beam spam's been a part of Gundam ever since Tomino & Okawara introduced us to bits 'n funnels, but man, SEED really took that up a notch! =P
We all have our own opinions, and many of them are valid (I personally think that Kira's great, but Destiny's hamfisted writing led to his character not being represented entirely as it should have been). Perhaps it's about time to cap this discussion and move on?
Am i the only one who thinks a large number of songs including this one are better than their originals simply due to the lack of words? That being said the version from j was my favorite thanks the speed up from the GBA music chip
+Carl Zerris A bit late but still i wanted to point out that Banpresto makes large changes in how the song sounds to compensate for the lack of words. If you try to compare this to the instrumental version of the original you will notice that they don't even sound similar most of the time.
As I am remembering how Seed's inclusion in Alpha 3 is disliked for feeling kinda shoehorned in. As well as creating the plothole that stuff like the PLANTs were always there. Just, not present... Makes me wonder, how would it be a remake of the Alpha series that actually integrates the C.E. Gundam series in a far more proper way. Like, I dunno. Starting with the original Seed in Alpha 1, and maybe integrate the story of Seed Astray like in W. And by the time Alpha 3 arrives. It could already tackle Seed Destiny. And the more obscure Seed Astray material.
what about the fact that that guy who died on dominion is back that guy who kept shooting bajeruel with that pistol and fired that laser at mu la flaga... he died but now he is back?

Liked seed alot it wasnt to sad when characters died but it was HYSTERICAL when kira protected flay and then rau funnels the ship and explodes kiling flay i was like *SPIT TAKE LAUGHING* so yah Seed was awesome and i started watching destiny but it confuses me like when does it take place?

Well, it was retconned *years* later an entire sequel was planned around the non retconned version. If I remember Kira broke a crapton of millitary laws, attacked his best bud over a girl that was clearly using him, and Rau wanted to kill the entire human race because he had clone issues(or ah Azreals an asshole due to being bullied). Seed and Destiny are typical gundams. All the character stupidity is present, just animated and written to appeal less to gundam fans, and more to anime fans.
I enjoyed Seed immensely, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. The Music, voice acting, and robot designs were great, but the human characters had some serious art problems at times. And I can't anything a "masterpiece" when you see a man's helmet floating in space just for him to magically be alive in the sequel. Same with Waltfeld. Liked em' both, but they shoulda stayed dead.
I wouldn't call Kira badass. I watched Seed with a buncha Japanese guys who enjoyed it, but they all laughed at how much of a wuss Kira was compared to other Gundam lead heroes.

第３次スパロボα終結の銀河は当時出たばっかりの70000 PS2でがっつりしてSEEDがボイス付で出たのも嬉しかったです。スパロボαや外伝もしていたのでWや逆襲のシャアやゼンガーやイングラムが出ていてこれも好きになりました。

SEEDはバルトフェルドのラゴゥと戦うシーンと、アスランがニコルが倒され、ロッカールームで写真を見た後にキラを許さないのシーンを覚えてます。
当時小6小5の頃、近所にゲームショップが出来て、親とそこに向かう時のチラシに第三次αが発売していることに気が付き、誕生日プレゼントとして買ってもらったのが嬉しかった。
親はその店に安い扇風機が売ってて、それを買うために行ってたなぁ。
