Would love this to happen. The borders railway is extremely similar and its proven itself as a great alternative to driving. Hopefully the feasibility study is enough for the government to provide funding and give the green light

If this (and any other) government are serious about getting us out of our cars then proposals such as these must be acted upon. Take into account the ever increasing population and there must surely be a strong case for reopening old lines, building new lines etc. The Borders railway is a prime example of what can be achieved.

Excellent set of proposals. Government should now look at the options, select the best one and get on and build it.

Wow, not before time, it is such a shame that people who ordered the railway lines between these places be uplifted didn't have the foresight to see that these lines would have been useful if only for freight, anyway it is what it is. Although this line does not affect me directly I sure can see the potential such lines can have. Well done and thanks for the share, I wish you all the luck to ensuring this proposals become real.

Great idea I am 100% in favour of reinstating railway lines to get some of the traffic off our roads, but also as a potential leisure / tourist attraction. Now comes the "but" what will it cost and who is going to finance it? I somehow do not see either the Scottish or UK Governments reaching into their pockets for this one especially after the recent HS2 announcement. I hope I am wrong this proposal deserves to go ahead in one of the proposed routes.

I like it. Theres been a lot of thought gone into this plan. I was stationed in the area for ten years in the 1980s and have a great affection for it still... this would be an excellent project for the region. I sincerely hope it happens.

Long for the day when I can make a travel review of Dyce to Peterhead or Fraserburgh. Been a big supporter of this for years, if there is anything I can do to help, please get in touch.

The town farthest away from a railway station/line in all of Scotland & England? - Fraserburgh Aberdeenshire.

7:00 This option is interesting. I didn't realise that part of the academy/community centre is due to be demolished. I remember when it was new built, - And its on the site of the original PD railway station. I'd go option 4!

It's certainly a popular option! Perhaps the best if the Peterhead line is not due to continue up the coast to Fraserburgh.

Looks good but seems a lot of things required. I can’t see this happening sadly.
