He was protesting the dress code using the logic that anything that applies to girls should apply to all genders. They didn't end up changing it, but it was fun to watch the adults rumble up to him to be like YOU ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE DRESS CODE, and then he pulls up the official stuff on his phone and is like, "You can't arrest me, officer. I'm not violating any laws."
