- 2018 Arizona Filipino Community Santacruzan Festival Highlights. (Saint Mary’s Basilica)
The Santacruzan Festival is held every year during the month of May. Since May is also the month dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the celebration is also known as Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May). The Santacruzan procession is always the final part and the highlight of the festival of Flores de Mayo.

Reyna Elena( Queen Helena) the founder of the Holy Cross 300 years after the death of Jesus Christ and brought to Rome where there was big festivity. Therefore our Santacruzan is a reenactment of the finding of the Holy Cross and became our tradition since the Spaniards brought Christianity to the Philippines.
