This song is a dedication to a mewlion “summer” who passed away last year. Summer wrote a letter to mew saying how much she loved him and how he’s the best present to her. She also stated how much of an encouragement mew is to her to keep on moving. She wanted to see him debut as a singer but unfortunately she passed before that ever happened. She said in her letter “ I know you’ll probably won’t read this so I’ll keep it in my memory forever 5555”.
Mew and his team found out about her passing and the letter and stated on his Twitter in 2020 he would give her a gift
He finally completed it and released “summer fireworks”

Honestly, this is the first time I've commented in every video and post he has. I've always been a silent fan since the day I know him, I silently follows him in all of his socmed accounts and secretly cheers for him, and silently crying and fight for him against all of his bashers. One of the things I love about Mew's music videos is the symbolism. The story is multifaceted. Summer Fireworks is a short song but it can be interpreted in various ways: it's Mew's gift to Summer who passed away before she heard Season of You (the first single), it can also be about a beautiful summer love which is temporary or has disappeared, and it can also be about mewlions who encouraged Mew to try new things and pursue his dreams (hence the link with Thanos). This man is really an artist. I stan the right man.

The Artist is an emerging artist on the music industry yet we saw potentials & his dedication to his work and towards his fans w/c captures a lot of interest & attention even from a kpop fan like me. Their fandom isn't that huge compare to where I came from/belong but that doesnt mean they're aren't capable to give those high no. of views for their idol.

suddenly fade away, like you and me" really hits me. This is the most poetic way of describing fireworks but also our life in general. I love how Mew put it that way. Everything is momentary, relationships blooms and end, life blooms and also end. No matter how much you live you would think it passed by too fast like the fireworks in the sky. So we just do our best and enjoy it as much as we can.

I'm coming back to watch this MV after Mew announced his global collaboration project. I just feel very overwhelmed by this coz few months ago Mew released his first English song 'Summer fireworks' and look at him now, he's going to have collabs with different artists around the world. I really admire Mew's dedication and determination. He has been working so hard and is constantly improving and pushing himself to produce great quality work for us fans. I don't know what to say, I'm so proud to be a Mewlion and beyond proud of Mew. I'll be here to support Mew for as long as I live.
