I've flown the high configuration from BKK to CDG as part of a transfer to JFK (which was on a new a350-900), and while the a350 was more technologically advanced, it didnt feel too different to the some 20 year old 777-300ER. The experience was however very french as I sat at the back of the plane and people would just come to pour themselves drinks and grab cheeses and sandwich bites at the back of the plane while chatting with each other. The seatbelt sign barely ever came on for turbulence and only once when the turbulence was quite heavy on a 14 hour flight. Very interesting experience.

I flew with AF on this type of A/C few years ago from CDG to the Dominical Republic / Punta Cana. We flew Economy Premium, which is OK. Not the best seats (Air France had better 10 years ago), but decent. The issue is that the gate is chaos, as you have 450+ passengers waiting to board, even if one has priority boarding, there is still a lot of people. Unfortunately, the seats we chose were missing a window - but on the other hand, I wanted to sleep, so not the biggest loss. Being a 777, it was noisier than a comparable A350.
