    another way would be to go to your solids "tree" suppress the holes, re calculate your tool path then lock the tool path

      Yes Bill you do that, But this solid has no history so you would have to use model prep to remove the holes.
      Then to keep ref to drill the holes you would need to copy the solid to another layer and keep track of it.
      Plus surfaces calculate faster. Plus this trick works in all versions of mastercam, because you can extent the surfaces to extend the tool paths.
      There is nothing wrong with removing the holes locking the toolpath it works. And is some cases I would do that. If you have good computer with a enough ram. If you have and old computer with minimum of ram the surface trick works better. I work with a lot of small shops that run older version of mastercam with older computers so the surface option work better for them.
