The small needles are really scary. While I don’t throw knifes, I do compete in archery tournaments and have a good bit of arrows (and arm guards but that’s not really relevant) and that’s fine but needles are fucking terrifying

Generally, the idea of something penetrating your skin is terrifying but whenever my blood is taken for testing I always like to look at it so Id know when to expect the pain and id be like "oh it isnt that painful at all". The trick is to act confident and calm. But I understand how others are completely terrified of them.

I'm not terrified of needles, but I don't like them, and most of the time I just tell them to do it, because the sooner it's done, the sooner I can get out of there. I've also had a few minor surgeries for my eardrum recently so I just don't care about it, and if there's a little blood, I've been desensitized to it due to my period.
Also, if you really don't want the needle, you can close your eyes and think about your favorite stuff (or stare into nothing when I had my shot, dont know what it was but it was needed). Maybe look at your phone as they do it, it'll be over in a moment and plus, the sooner they do it, the sooner you'll go.

Some of us relate like when i was diagnose mosquito bite i need to take shots everyday for the past month and hell...i was a freaking 18 year old girl crying hard in public for a damn needle!!!

Brooo i relate to this man on a spiritual level. And its weird, i LOVE medical shows, violence, and all that jazz, but oh my gosh, needels make me cringe, like chewing on tinfoil cringe everytime they are being talking about, and i was litterally feeling that when bad was talk about his experience. I would have full on fist fights with my doctors if they gave me shots.

I got my tetanus shot at like 14, and three nurses had to come in and pin me into a corner because I was so scared I was trying to run out the door 😭😭😭
I hate needles as well! One time, when I had to give my blood for the analisys in a sanatorium (okay, my English is terrible, sorry) and it wasn't nesessary I just... ran away. I dashed out of the room and hid behind the electrical panels building, which was pretty far outside. I tried even not to breathe in order to avoid the procedure. I was crying of fear, I have never run this fast in my life...

What makes this funny is that at school today we where talking about something, and it involved eating insects. That was the main topic of whatever it was, Eating. Insects. me literally the opposite of this- story time! when i was around 1 or 2 i was getting my first shot idk what it was for lol but the doctor was so surprised i didn't cry. also when i was 5 after i got my shot i kept on asking the doctor for another shot but then i stared to cry and throw a fit cuz they didnt have any more shots for me. till this day i still dont see a problem with shots and i actualy like to see my blood drawn cuz i think it looks cool- ..

In fair defense to people scared of needles, it does feel a bit weird when they're taking blood and you focus all your attention on the needle and really _feel_ the blood leaving your body.
I'm not scared of needles, but I can understand why some would be uncomfortable with them.

when I got my tetnis shot (idk how to spell it), I was looking away, spamming buttons on my phone, literally freaking out, and they even gave me apple juice because I felt like I was gonna pass out on the bed in the room, another time, before that, when I got a flu shot, I actually did pass out on a bench outside of the hospital I’d gotten it at while going back to the car 😭
