I love Decky, and this is what I use: - Animation Changer - Memory Deck = Cheat Engine for Steamdeck - PowerTools, Sometimes I got better fps when Disable SMT - SteamGridDB = Custom library picture for Steam or non-Steam games - Storage Cleaner = Clear Shader Cache, this is very useful if you got 64Gb version - TunnelDeck = Add VPN. I use Lutris to install my non-Steam games & Yuzu for playing Zelda TOTK, Pokemon and Mario 😂

Hello, I was wondering about using powertools with frequency limits and Maximum(MHz). I heard a while ago about something like this bricking decks, Where it would lock it at a lower setting. Is that something I need to worry about with this? Also is there any settings in power tools I shouldn't play around with or is it all pretty safe now?
Hi! Good question. Not sure If I mention it in this particular video but, there is a certain rare bug that can get your frequency stuck if the battery dies. There are some fixes online and now you can also reset the CMOS which also helps. In general if you keep your battery from dying you shouldn't have to worry. Also make sure to enable "persistent profiles" to keep it from being applied outside of games, which will also help avoid problems. Don't use stand by while in a game for long periods (days) since it does deplete your battery. Hope this helps!
Hello, it is from Aliexpress, I am in the process of making a video about affordable accessories that rock but in the meantime here is a link to the skin: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DcQNJCZ You get two skins for the price and it is a bargain, make sure you apply it better than me and use heating to seal it properly :) Quality is pretty good if applied correctly!
Of Course! In short a battery has just so many charge cycles, but if you charge to 80% it "takes" a fraction of a Cycle (and its not 0.8 its more like 0.2-0.3 of a cycle) Which means your battery life and capacity will be much higher for much longer. Not to mention that charging the battery to 80% when playing plugged in also saves it from staying charged at 100% which is actually a bad thing for extended periods of time. (most electronics you buy new arrive charged between 50-80% for a reason) Most modern gaming laptops also have this feature. With that said if you know you will travel and need more juice definitely charge it fully! Hope this helps!
Hello, everything I show in this video is completely safe to do, some optimizations are even good for your Decks health! (like the battery charge limiter and the lower CPU frequency which keeps it cooler when playing)
@@ZhakOfAllTrades thanks! I'll try them at home, any more tips for SD? I mean other videos of you with tips like this? I'm completely new to this console/'pc'

At 7:05, is that charge limit feature equal to a gaming laptop feature, I mean, it would only allow the deck to charge to the stablished treshold while you are playing or at all times, even when it's turned off? Do I need to enable developer mode to use it or just install and use it?
@@ZhakOfAllTrades Actually it's even better, on my laptop the threshold is persistent, so even if the laptop is off it will only charge to 60%, I think the way it works with power tools is better for mobility, because you can charge the steam deck to a 100% while off whithout having to change any settings whatsoever. Thanks for the answer.
@@jorgealbertoramirezcano9940 You are welcome! And yep its made mostly for gaming plugged in and you can always change settings on the fly or charge overnight to have it fully charged
It is not, it just improves performance in most games but it is by no means necessary. Feel free to stay on default (keep in mind that it is easily reversible even if you do it)
Been using vibrant Deck for a few weeks , but recently its been giving me errors, so when I looked at the plugin, it wasn't working and couldn't be reinstalled either, its just an error with decky looks like 😢
I followed your instructions and restarted my Steam Deck. But when I push the 3 buttons on the right side, the additional option under the ? does not appear. Why?
Try using the second method of installing decky loader by writing a code line in Konsole: "curl -L github.com/SteamDeckHomebrew/decky-installer/releases/latest/download/install_release.sh | sh" Copy without Quotes Hit enter after that, it will ask for password, once installed try restarting the deck.

I've done a lot of testing and what I discovered is that it is beneficial ~90% of the time even if it is very slightly. There are cases where it can have a slight negative impact but thats really the extremes only and in very rare cases. Sadly I have not started my TH-cam journey back then but I will do my best to make a video about it. With that said, it's something you can change in less than a minute, even if you see negative impact for a certain title you can always revert for the time being when playing that game.
I even went in and type passwd in the konsole and it asks me for a current password. I have no idea what it is. I know that they say there isn't a password but for some reason mine does. How do I fix this?
