When they tested Sammy's bats, only the bat that broke was found to be corked. A much worse corked bat incident was that of Albert Belle where a bat boy tried to swap the confiscated bats out and they found that ALL of Belle's bats were corked
What Judge did is not cheating, even if he was sign stealing the rule only applies to sign stealing while using tools (cameras, phones, Apple Watches, trash cans etc). Many players do this in the league because somebody on the team has an eagle eye. Few pitchers/catchers have even said that if the other team steals their signals without equipment it just means they aren’t doing a good enough job at hiding their signals
Exactly. It's smart to get an edge on the pitcher's intent, be it via sign stealing with the naked eye or pitch-tipping; just not while using technology to do so (cough HOUSTON ASTERISKS cough). This is probably why so many clubs have elected to use pitch-com so there's no sign involved; just someone talking to the pitcher, catcher, middle infielders, and centerfielder.
The altuve home run is legit. It’s likely he said “no camiza” which is no shirt. Also, there’s evidence to prove he didn’t like sign stealing and was given less trash bangs than any other teammate. Also, josh Reddick had a piece of confetti.
Yeah, and the reason why Altuve said that is because his wife gets mad at him when he takes his shirt off during games and also he had an unfinished tattoo on his collarbone
that one was seriously suspicious when he changed clothes. Why would you do that if your clothes werent containing a signal or you werent wearing a wire?
If he did all the steroid players then the video would be a lot longer Mark was Already a big guy who could hit him use roads didn't change as much as it did for other players
Sammy Soso did that once they checked every single one of his other bats and none of them had any of corks in them, and if you read the whole story about it, you would know that that was the only bad that he had corked
maybe from second base, not from a camera mounted and relays to the home team's dugout, come on dude! The Patriots got fined for recording practices of other teams and you think this is cool curing every actual home game?

It’s pretty hard to say Judge was cheating and it really wasn’t a scandal. The pitcher could have just been tipping his pitches in a way that the Yankees dugout could see. I had that luxury a few times when a pitcher would grab the ball with a certain grip or do something else that the batter couldn’t see but everyone else could. As long as you not using technology signs and pitches are fair game.
My favorite was the Joe Niekro incident in 1987 where the umps checked him on the mound, and an emery board flew out of his pocket. The 1994 Albert Belle corked bat incident was also epic. The umps confiscated and locked the bat in the umpires' dressing room, and teammate Jason Grimsley crawled through the ceiling tiles to get into the locked room to swap out the bat with an uncorked one so that Belle wouldn't get caught and banned.
Yea i found that part funny. Who ever made this video clearly doesn't know much about corked bats. A corked bat at most will give you a slight advantage and even that's debatable. It helps by making the tip of the bat lighter so you can move the bat more easily. It doesn't even add power. In fact you are losing power by taking weight out of the bat. If you hit the ball further using a corked bat that likley just means you connected with ball ball better on impact. Also we are talking a difference in weight of about one ounce and bats weigh 34-36 ounces.
Cork doesnt actually make the ball fly further, rather the opposite, as the bat becomes softer and absorbs more of the ball's impact. The opposite of this is seen with aluminum bats. It does still make the bat lighter though, which comes with all the benefits you might expect, so it's still cheating regardless.
