The reason why a lot of us watch is because even though the stuff you make sometimes shouldn't work, but YOU make it work. I think your skill in just games alone and the fact that sometimes you come up with some methods of making things, which are never the first thing that most people would think of. It is a fresh perspective which is why it is so enjoyable to watch! Like what the comments said, you "will" need to make a new car, but you still made your own car power through all the races.
I mean, hes not very good at this game yet so I kinda dont get that comment. Im watching this to see his journey of becoming good at this game and getting through the races. Im also watching from a couch back quarterback perspective thinking "oi! Electric + Gas doesnt work!", "Small and light is fast!", "Small suspension is best" etc and watching him learn these things overtime from the comments, although admittedly a few times in this series it physically hurt like I wanted to scream at the screen "Just slow down and think about it for a second! It's not as hard as you're making it out to be in your head!" I doubt he'll ever get to the level of comfort he has with trailmakers in screwdrivers though just because hes been doing trailmakers for so long hes built up the meta knowledge of the mechanics and parts but screw drivers has both less to do (because he has no one to do multiplayer with), and he plays it less.
Scrapman forgetting that there's the grip stat. Also how you angle your vehicle to land will determine how well it survives that and you want the springs to be lower than your vehicle but the game auto puts them even so you didn't make the "best use" of suspension. Also building a vehicle with good "air flow" is more important than worrying about "air resistant"
use a stepper motor and add 90 degree rotating wings. leave them folded up (like a ww2 plane on an aircraft carrier) until you are already in the air and you can ace all the jump challenges
Scrap man you can actually build gyro steering in screw drivers. It’s hard for me to tell you to allow you to understand but I found this on a workshop creation that you can take inspiration from. It’s f1 car version 2. It should have an engine and a weight on the bottom you can use this to make gyro steering.
Scrap man you need to figure out a way of making your car shorter, you might not have to make your car wider at the wheels, but you can potentially make the middle of your car wider to where you have the same gears in a shorter vehicle, if you can do this then your turning will be way better. Hope this helps if you see this :)
Has better suspension in the garage and not even trying it while saying, “hmmm I don’t think there’s any way to survive these jumps.” lol. Bruh….. just why not at least try it hahaha
Probably due to the fact he has to get the videos out on time so he's trying to not have to fully redesign his vehicle for the race for some suspension that might not work.
For the next car you build, it'd be fun to see you play around with the motorcycle suspension. They have a 90° offset for the direction of input power, so they might let you make a more compact small car by better utilizing the space between your front and back wheels.
People find these challenges hard because they overthink the solution to the problem, you can do practically all of these challenges with just a 15HP engine...
Video Games have ruined us. They reinforce the idea that 'little' = 'weak' (Akin to being only Lvl 1) and 'big' = 'strong'. (akin to being lvl 100.) HOW one uses what they've got matters more than what they've got. ;) ... with that said, I love being big and Might is Right and all that, so I harbor no delusions of having it easy resisting such Temptations... i'm totally plenty vulnerable to them. :)
Day 27: Idea for Trailmakers cooperation challenge: two teams of two people each, you build a vehicle for both teams to use. One person from a team controls one half of the vehicle, and the other person controls the other half. Both people have to be pressing the shoot button to shoot. You make truly amazing content ScrapMan! Please keep your channel alive. 🥺
GG. If you're racing on a circular track, make the outside tires slightly bigger than the inside ones. The car will tend to turn to the inside, making steering a little easier.
I was so happy I was doing good in this game and then Scrapman comes and make everything look easy, while I struggle horrendously on the new challenges... 😞 Also 🙂 Awesome game!
Credit where it is due, sometimes the challenges is this game are hard to read, but they are consistently more interesting than most other courses I've seen.
Ok, so I came for the Screwdrivers and went on to the Catarinth. That's some pretty accomplished stuff with great production values that you have there. And the pipes on your singer are awesome. Pass on my regards to the rest of the band. You're all doing a great job and I hope you have a great future with the music.
haven’t watched the full video yet so not sure if you figure it out, but just to the left of the ramp on “wild curves” you’re able to get the checkpoint without going on the ramp. you have to cut it pretty close but you’re able to keep speed and not repair. hope this helps!
Challenge yourself to build cars for races with weird restrictions? Eg, build an 8-wheeled racer. Also, can you use stepper-motors to put the wheels on arms, such that you can bend them down and "jump" the car?
Loved today's vid, super satisfying to see you round out the challenges. I think it would be cool if the next video is the helicopter idea but maybe at the end you compare to some workshop helis?
So excited for new Catarinth stuff! I really hope you get something out before the end of the year but I totally understand if it takes longer: music is a pain.
@19:11 only musicians will find found sounds and ask for more. Love it! (Probably the Foley department might have stolen from an audio pack. Totally valid as well)
Jack of All Trades Challenge: One single vehicle that can do every challenge including long jumps and the transport mission. No going into the builder between events this time!
Kan tried replicating a 4 speed and 9 speed cars in Screw Drivers (using real world values to make a near game equivalent). In that the physics are modelled well enough, you can copy real world gear ratios of rally and street cars to see how your gearing differs. (So you can achieve desired RPM and torque values for a variety of gears.) That is if you want some spoilers about what other engineers have found to work. (Searching “race car gearing” can give you some pretty detailed write ups about the goals and what a given car might need, though this can get fairly academic.) Probably what you will need is a table of ideal gear ratios vs close gear ratios you can achieve in game (while trying to limit how many change gears you are using). Then its about figuring out the gear box’s geometry and building this ideal car (does it favour top speed or silly amounts of acceleration and how many gear shifts are acceptable losses)
Like I said before, I'd love to see you messing around with the wind resistance to fully figure it out for future builds. It bothers me to no end that the vehicles are nothing but exposed gear boxes and it feels like you could end up making them so much neater if you mastered that system.
Started playing this today, so much fun, controller/gamepad is bugged though. The "inspired by scrapman" watermark is a nice touch haha. Been making some interesting 4wd builds and already finished the main career bar a couple golds..
Woot! Glad ya remembered my desire for a Heli Attempt! :D Also, i'm curious what your take would be on attempting to make as Micro a Car Build as possible. How Micro a Build can ya manage? :)
Hey scrap man I got to say I have been watching your channel for years now, I didn't even realize how you taught me to understand English, because is not my native language, Also the games I discovered on your channel like, this one (screw drivers) and trailmakers, actually I'm now Studying to be an engineer, I still remember watching your channel in the middle of covid
So the way I did Wild Curves to get gold (ended up getting a top 100 time), was actually with an F1 like car with all wheel drive. I skipped the jump ramp, because you can just skid by it and push through the barriers, which slows you down, but means you dont need a big off roader, and just expected the car to be mostly broken with aero tearing off as I climb the hill, so I actually just repaired each time. The F1 like performance on the on ground parts was enough in my case to outpace all the downsides.
Ok Scrapman, you're the second person I've seen hey gold on the even longer jump off the wooden part of the ramp. I'm going to see if I can do it, as a challenge.
I noticed that you dont use axles as if they are long pegs, they count toward making connections and since he only has the 2 kinds of pegs it makes it difficult to make thick pieces or service connections through the same hole. I think it would help your builds with the aesthetic part, you dont need gears on the axles for these parts it just allows more connections for things like the eyelet pegs or for engine mounts even full width wing mounts for 100% effectiveness. I feel there are still alot of blocks that need to be implemented from my time with this game I really want a 45*two hole block with a thin beam so I can have axles go over it when making super low cars and some different peg permutations the stranger the better honestly we will find uses for weird blocks we just need them as options.
5:39 i have survived that in my gold medal run, its not easy but you need to go slower off the jump and land on all four wheels. i did use dirt suspension and dirt wheels though
I'd love to see you come up with a plane using servos, instead of "seat controls" Also, I wonder if using your flying car on the jump trials can get you to absurd distances
I wonder if you could survive the drop with some sort of a rollcage. Sure you'd have additional wind resistance, but if it were designed to intentionally break on the fall, the second lap would be faster.
i've been playing around with my idea of each gear shift activates more engine power and i've almost got it as of right now the multiplayer sux and doesn't work most of the time but when it does finally work id love to see multiplayer with kan and others
Can I just say, I had to do a 15 wide internally(17 wide externally), 28 long internally (30 long externally) storage box, and it barely fit, but all the TH-camrs I’ve watched have done it in way smaller. Let’s see if you can do the same Edit: the definitely decreased the speed required. I got 25 seconds with all, and it wasn’t enough
Have you seen the "sail" car that can break the sound barrier in under a minute with only a simple electric engine and sails lined up vertically on the little rotator pieces? I built one and got over 4k mph
Like what the comments said, you "will" need to make a new car, but you still made your own car power through all the races.
this is why I find him so inspiring.
I mean, hes not very good at this game yet so I kinda dont get that comment. Im watching this to see his journey of becoming good at this game and getting through the races.

Bro got his degree from glaze university, how much ya tuition?💀
I watch to fall asleep interesting enough to keep focus *boring* enough to fall asleep
5:38 "there is no way to survive that"
Meanwhile kAN jumping off the even longer jump and surviving XD
Scrapman forgetting that there's the grip stat. Also how you angle your vehicle to land will determine how well it survives that and you want the springs to be lower than your vehicle but the game auto puts them even so you didn't make the "best use" of suspension. i found for "the even longer jump" event, you get more distance if you go to the right of the wooden ramp
I personally just made a drone and flew into the ocean
He tried that
@@BetaTester704 ok cheater (I know your allowed to do this and that the devs just didn’t intend it. Don’t sue me)
use a stepper motor and add 90 degree rotating wings. leave them folded up (like a ww2 plane on an aircraft carrier) until you are already in the air and you can ace all the jump challenges
I don't have the game but assumed that would be true bc your launch angle is slightly lower

They really aren't that good tbf. And they tank your wind resistance too

Very good video, appreciated the attempt at an in-game drumset. I definitely motion tech tree campaign but trying out multiplayer might be fun.

Dayum seems like I already have to do some more challenges... Be aware of horrible difficult challenges for you! 🔥
The GOAT himself commented. Looking forward to your updates :)
I was so happy I was doing good in this game and then Scrapman comes and make everything look easy, while I struggle horrendously on the new challenges... 😞 Also 🙂
Awesome game!
This is def the next game I buy
@@JoshuaZitzelsberger-sk3ek Ya might find that difficult considering the game is free atm... but ya CAN buy its Supporter Pack. ;) (I totally did!)

10:20 just realized that the suspension starts compressing the higher scrap man goes in speed, pretty cool system They’ve got there
Thats prob just because of the downforce
Thank-you, I've been having hard time with the circular track, now I have better idea how to face it :)
Scrap... hold ctrl when you're building and run out of parts, it keeps it selected and auto buys

The editing is good, I laughed at the smiley being pet, also, finish the evolution tree version!!
Haven't seen much of it myself, so I'm excited to see the crazy stuff people came up with in the workshop!
Name the car Spinner like the spin on 16:10.
"there is room for you, just find your place, stop stressing me out"
the best motivational quote ever
Challenge yourself to build cars for races with weird restrictions? Eg, build an 8-wheeled racer. Also, can you use stepper-motors to put the wheels on arms, such that you can bend them down and "jump" the car?
Editor came in clutch with the beat
If this vehicle is good enough for every challenge, then I would call her "Gu'nuffvere".
Loved today's vid, super satisfying to see you round out the challenges. I think it would be cool if the next video is the helicopter idea but maybe at the end you compare to some workshop helis?
A good name for your vehicle might be Red Lightning. 16:05
Name the car "Good Enough" or "The scrap Special"
So excited for new Catarinth stuff! I really hope you get something out before the end of the year but I totally understand if it takes longer: music is a pain.
Scrapman is just a god in any vehicle building game. The Oval Race took me 12 tries.

I keep forgetting that scrapman is actually kind of built and a really good musician. I mean damn
Thats a HUGE upgrade there
17:40 lands in exact same place and says "that definitely did better"
You should call it Mini King
Started playing this today, so much fun, controller/gamepad is bugged though. The "inspired by scrapman" watermark is a nice touch haha. Been making some interesting 4wd builds and already finished the main career bar a couple golds..
Being able to land from a jump is based on how much your car weighs. A 400kg (or less) car will land fine most times.
Woot! Glad ya remembered my desire for a Heli Attempt! :D
Also, i'm curious what your take would be on attempting to make as Micro a Car Build as possible. How Micro a Build can ya manage? :)

A plane with retracteble landing gear, speed brakes and flaps. For an extra challenge make a supersonic plane, maybe like a sr71 blackbird
So the way I did Wild Curves to get gold (ended up getting a top 100 time), was actually with an F1 like car with all wheel drive.

Ok Scrapman, you're the second person I've seen hey gold on the even longer jump off the wooden part of the ramp. I'm going to see if I can do it, as a challenge.
Scrapman could be one of the first persons to get Gold on the left side of the Longer Jump. The lower side is just easier.
Just name the car 'Good Enough'😂😂
GG! now need to see you build helicopters, motorcycles and walkers!
I noticed that you dont use axles as if they are long pegs, they count toward making connections and since he only has the 2 kinds of pegs it makes it difficult to make thick pieces or service connections through the same hole. Scrap the best combo for the suspension/wheel is big dirt suspension and the medium racing wheel
multi player challenges like you do on trailmakers would be entertaining
An funny idea I have for you is to make a top fuel drag car and send it on the ramps 😂 love the content
Call the car Scrappy
Scrappy mcscrapman
rudolph better , as the car has red nose because of the electric engine
19:50 "nyooooouuuuuum"
Day 2 of asking Scrapman to make a trophy truck with motorbike suspension
5:39 i have survived that in my gold medal run, its not easy but you need to go slower off the jump and land on all four wheels. i did use dirt suspension and dirt wheels though
try all wheel steering in the oval ;) (if you got enough power and downforce) + there are ways to not need any repair in the wild curves race.
Yes i cant wait to listen to more Catarnith!
I have all the music saved
Oh god make a box carrier like slats to save on weight and can also make it a little higher.
Every second slat there is a staggered gap or 2 gaps🎉
I'd love to see you come up with a plane using servos, instead of "seat controls"

as of right now the multiplayer sux and doesn't work most of the time
but when it does finally work
id love to see multiplayer with kan and others
I saw kan made a motorcycle, and I’d like to see a 3 wheeler using the motorcycle suspension in the back.
Take a plane onto the long jump to try to get higher on the leaderboard
Hey scrap just woke up and get to watch this!
You could make a plane that drops bombs using the axis and the gear shifters to detach the bombs
Top 100 on screw drivers leaderboard?
Can I just say, I had to do a 15 wide internally(17 wide externally), 28 long internally (30 long externally) storage box, and it barely fit, but all the TH-camrs I’ve watched have done it in way smaller. Let’s see if you can do the same

Cars name "SpoodBrrd"
CHALLENGE: Can you make a biwheel and monowheel car? (I know there are other names but lets go with this)
You should make a a pre runner with the motorcycle suspension
Multiplayer stuff could be fun!
Am I the only one that wanted him to break into The Wellerman when playing the menu bass drum
Walkers!
you should put one or more engines in the back attached to te gear shifter for power and weight so you dont have use the real weights
SCREWDRIVERS -
FLYING SUPERSONIC VEHICLE
OR
MAKE RECORDS/HIGHER RANKINGS ON ANY LEADERBOARD YOU LIKE
Want to see a propeller powered car.
Have you seen the "sail" car that can break the sound barrier in under a minute with only a simple electric engine and sails lined up vertically on the little rotator pieces? I built one and got over 4k mph
there are checkpoint across the map and if u get those checkpoints or chests there will be more chalanges
The real secret is lighter is better. Starting to set all kinds of personal bests with simple 100hp or less 300kg or less 3 wheelers
scrap, if you see this, hydrate, this is(nt) a threat.
i have yet to see someone make a walker. even a small easy one just to even see whats possible with the damage physics.
Imagine evolution / generation races in screw drivers
Name it myth like our old friend form trail makers buster
Time for the Devs to add platinum medals xd
Name the Winning vehicle the scrapster
I´d like to see the performance aas an awd setup (you just need to get the movement, that reaches the back axle, also to the front ^^)
Helicopter for sure!
big wheels have more grip meaning better turning.
You should name your car “Bob”
You should make a Baja car with the motorcycle suspension
I think using a controller will be much beneficial
Great video as always!
You should also complete the tech tree challenges
Build the tallest car possible!
name for the car should be rudolph as it has red nose of electric engine
Id like to recommend the game flyout. Its one of my favourite games
