Amazing to see this kid master and tame the seven horses so calmly just with his voice and at times the humble bent of his head or a quiver of his eyes ... But for our present day singer celebrities , who perform on half mechanised - half sung voices , the freedom of expressions come more from their hands , legs , tummies , butts and the hairdo and more so from their shades in the darkest of hours ... possibly they have more to do with obesity and gloss , unlike this bare 40 kilos of pure voice and commitment !
God save him from that glossy obesity !!!!

The only question that arises in my mind is that with time, the intensity to attain perfection in a field that is fathomless, lessens, may be due to pressures to sustain one's own self and others close to him or because of other negative influences caused by popularity earned. Pray thar Anubhab is not affected by such negativities in his pursuance to go for the ultimate what his guru or his guru's guru had desired for themselves!

These are two beautiful bandishes and a tarana, all of which are composed by Guruji Ajoy Chakrabarty himself. What spiritual and musical inspiration the Higher One has filled him with! They express all the beautiful qualities of the entity that is Raag Yaman. I am still waiting for that year where I can sit and listen to all the Raags rendered by Pandit Anubhav Khamaru! He has made himself a worthy successor of Ajoy Chakrabarty already.

Heartening to see Ajoy babu providing a platform to such talented kids so that we can track their progress and watch them become worthy representatives of their art form. This use to happen in the old days which is why we have recordings of Kumarji & Ustad Nazakat Salamat singing at the age of around 8-10. It's great to see that brought back.
