Thanks so much. Not a difficult project because it's straight lines. I have a video posted from about 2 years ago that shows the outside of this home. I took my concept from a dollhouse kit that cost $325.00. Mine cost $40.00 using smaller sheets of plywood from Home Depot. That was just for the shell.
Lovely!! The wood furniture & beams, the stucco, the chandelier, the pottery, the pictures of Frida Kahlo--all so beautiful! I live in New Mexico, and this looks very authentic. ❤

Thank you so much. I too, love the Mexican culture. I was inspired during a visit to Old Town in San Diego. It was the first settlement in San Diego. It's an amazing place. The food, the colors, the pottery, the shops. The project isn't that hard, due to all the straight lines. Using spackle dried much quicker that a plaster. Thanks so much. It was fun searching for just the right pieces for this house. I'm lucky to have Old Town so close to me. It's Mexican and inspired me plus they have amazing food , music and shops. I agree the Mexican culture is so interesting.
I am new to miniatures. Your Hacienda is beautiful. I want to do a miniature Hacienda someday, since I live in a Spanish style home. I have been collecting “bits and bobs” of miniature Mexican pottery etc. for awhile. However, it sounds like I need to make a road trip to Old Town San Diego for more. 😉 Plus, I want to decorate the casa for DOTD at Halloween too. It would be perfect for this this style of home. Having Frida Kahlo artwork is perfect too. It is rare to see a Hacienda miniature, I am glad I found your channel. Thank you!
Old Town has so much inspiration. I totally agree that DOTD would be beautiful. I have a video showing the outside of this house. It's lovely. I made the stone patio with egg cartons. It really shows the texture of the spackle. I hope you watch it and let me know what you think.
I love the exterior too! Sparkle gives the perfect texture. I will keep that in mind. I have watched a few of your other videos this evening. I love your favorite house, the witch’s house. The miniature yard sale is that an annual event in San Diego? If so, I would like to go sometime.
I believe the yard sale is yearly in June. It is also a miniature shop that is small but mighty. The first time I walked in, I just stood there. I couldn't move. It was magical. I was in miniature heaven. She has everything !! It's Ms Peggy's Place.com. She lists her events on her website. Check on the open days and hours of the shop. It's not open everyday and the hours vary. The shop is located in Pacific Beach, San Diego. It's probably around 20-30 minutes to Old Town from there. Depending on traffic.
Yes, I am still collecting and making things for the backyard. I'm in the process of figuring out how to make a patio umbrella. Never made one before. Should be interesting. I'll have a video posted when I'm done with the umbrella.
