Ok. So this means that I'm a Federalist! I only want the Federal Government to do it's enumerated Powers. Even in a Pandemic.

I just love how he just glazed over.
    1. The power shifted from State to Federal during the civil war so that the Emancipation Proclamation could be legally enforced.
    2. FDR took control of interstate commerce so his plan the combat the Great Depression could be as effective as possible.
    2. The entire point of the constitution was to take power from the states
    3. The federal government having power over states has almost never lead to major calamity. (Please note how he didn’t even give an example)
    4. The only reason why the states had as much autonomy as they did was because the state reps at the constitutional convention stripped as much of the new Federal power as possible.
    5. States are still aloud to control their interstate commerce unless the federal government specifically says otherwise.

Amazing, I came to this channel because of its featuring of quantitative political scientists presenting empirical facts and analytics, and found myself watching a video of an ideologue under the facade of objectivity. It's not even about whether you want to make a normative argument; it's about when you do, please don't pretend you are not.

Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean his arguments aren't based on facts and analytics.
