Ok Italia...you win. 11:42, a piece of heaven. So happy I watched this one. Umbria & Northern Lazio are overlooked too often. Thanks again for letting the camera linger.
Ahhh Ken... how I am happy to always see you and to know that central Italy should be discovered more... as you see.... many tourists don't just visit those beauties.. it's summer now and I'm visiting other towns and ... the same... very few people in towns which are so rich in history and beauty. I hope to make a little justice to them
What a delightful interesting town. Interesting murals too. The place seems to be well looked after. Love it💗 Umbria is so green. I love those "street libraries" Drone intro is superb👍 thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed also Calvi Geraldine! Strange atmpshere that day, I was a little shocked by the lack of people around, but liked the town. The murals were interesting for sure. Sad churches were closed though/ Thank you for your words as always and wish you a nice Sunday's end Geraldine
Thank you for introducing Calvi dell'Umbria to us! I've been researching small towns and villages in southern Umbria and would not have noticed Calvi if not for your video. Calvi is absolutely beautiful and even though it is not on the I Borghi più belli d'Italia list, it definitely deserves a place!
Thank you so much Fun Foo Chin, I try to show the unusual towns of Italy compared to the famous ones (but not only!). It's more than 3 years now...glad you enjoyed the video. Wish you a nice weekend soon! Riccardo
Dear Riccardo, thank you for your response. I love your videos and been watching them over and over again. I like that you bring us to these lesser known places and show us those tiny streets and alleyways which we otherwise can't find on the internet. Keep up the good work and keep focusing on the unusual towns! Wish you a good weekend too.
Aloha ! I never get tired of seeing these very old towns. There is a realtor on yt that finds some of the medieval homes, so I get to see the inside of some of the places you pass by, makes it exciting & I feel like I might easily make it through the next lockdown, coming soon, by Christmas, according to those that rule us here in Hawai'i. All my Aloha Ric for the saving grace you afford us with your work !

Wonderful shots . Enjoyed the vlog . Greetings for a woderful December and winter days .Each video creates more curiosity . Italy is really Amazing .Best wishes dear friend .

@@StillWanderer thank you Riccardo. I've been called out of retirement because of the pandemic again, but this time it is a far worse. Way too many people refusing to get vaccinated. Pushing the resources of my state and neighboring states to madness.
Dear Steve, once again I admire your films! I can't travel right now, but your videos just let me breathe and see the beautiful world! So many beautiful details I see ! It's like being in that medieval Italian city on the hill myself! Спасибо!!!
Glad you enjoy them dear Ioana) when I began years ago I thought people wouldn't be interested in those and only in famous places...glad it's not like this and there are friends who enjoy them too. A lot to discover given time... Buon weekend!
Lovely and picturesque town. Amazing views as well. I am wondering where all the people was that day? Were they indoors? Still the video was quite enjoyable with all the beautiful scenes of this town. I really love the view at 14:26 when you began to turn the corner as you started going down the steps. Also many well-maintained old stone buildings and beautiful houses.
You went up what turned out to be a dead-end, but you found Emma's handprints from 2008 right there (22:47). A little bit of whimsy! At 23:33 you rang a bell??? At 29:43 you stopped at a "take-one-leave-one" spot. That's popular around here as well. Another bit of whimsy with that bike ar 37:34. A town full of historical murals is always a pleasure to see Riccardo.
Great attention Sharon, as always) I trid to ring that thing... didn't know it was a bell... still unconvinced) Something rang I think, Indeed, a little strange atmosphere there, quite deserted unfortunately, and the weather wasn't the best, but liked the town
22:47 In 2008, work was carried out in the city to update the paving stones and stair steps. Perhaps Emma was among the workers or their friends. 23:33 This button turns on the star of Bethlehem under the arch.
In your videos , I can travel to various Italy. The arched stone is nice!! How Beautiful medieval town ♥️📚. Wishing you every happiness this holiday season. Love from Japan.
Lucky you then Geraldine) I had almost nothing at home lately and had to rush for the supermarket yesterday :) Wish you a nice weekend and hope you'll enjoy this new town as well
Another great walk. Is there a lot of sismic activity there? The houses on the edge of the cliff around 1:38 made me nervous... And let me ask you this : the cobblestone pattern in the streets (such as 6:25) seems to be the same everywhere in Italy. Is this by tradition, is it mandatory due to bylaws, or is it just because it looks good and Italians have a sense of style right down to their street patterns? Seems like a lot of work to lay it down so that it fits perfectly. Due to your vids, Umbria is climbing on my bucket list of places to see in Italy. Holy shit 12:44... postcard right there! That town hall at 44:00 is pretty sweet. How fast (!) do these Piaggio Apes go? Like the one you see at 50:15? I believe I've told you this before Ricardo, but during a trial I was talking to a witness (opposing party, but cool guy nonetheless); he had been to Italy over 30 times, and when asked by friends or colleagues why he kept going back after having been there 30+ times, he told me that he'd reply «because there is so much more yet to see». How true!
Hugo, so nice to read from you again, and always happy to know you enjoyed the video; I agree with the witness (cool you're into the judiciary system, as I briefly was involved in that some years ago)). That's the idea behind this channel in a way; 2 years ago there was only 1 BIG and very very good channel on TH-cam about Italy, which focused mainly on very famous and posh locations. I started to film in the "underdogs" town, as one can say, just to show there is more to famous cities and towns as well. Glad they can be appreciated. Nowawayd, it's a new channel popping up every week or so I see. Ahh the Ape Piaggio is rather slow , actually If I remember correctly, they have either a 50cc or a 125cc engine, so maybe a top speed of arounf 50 km/h I reckon. Cool vehicles though, able to get in places no other can. I always loved them for some reasons. The cobblestone is the famous "sanpietrini" stones, and yup they're almost anywhere as it's probably one of the quintessence of italian architecture, I am not sure though if Calvi is on a sismic area, but I highly thnk so Hugo! It's reminiscent of my town near ROme in a way... lots of sismic activity all over the country actually
@@StillWanderer I have seen some of these others channels opo up, courtesy of the all-seeing algorithm, but I barely have enough time to watch yours, so that's where my loyalty lays. If I need a fix of famous and posh Italian locations, as you so eloquently put it, I watch Lionard Luxury's channel because a) their properties are great and b) Stefanie Smith has the greatest set of legs on TH-cam.
