Welcome to the Laundroworks nation!! Best thing we ever did. It gave us the ability to move to Florida. I can watch and control cash and credit card payments. Enjoy the time you will be saving.
I live close to a car wash that switched to credit cards about a year ago. . I was a routine customer there until then. I stopped going when they went to the same system as this but for a car wash. Apparently, a lot of other people felt the same as me because I watched this place go from being frequently busy to rarely having anyone there. The credit cards system was removed and they went back to quarters. It’s been about a month since so we’ll have to wait and see about what happens but my guess is that it will return to what it was.
I have one really nice car wash that is my favorite in the next town over. They accept bills, coins and cards.. if they switch to all cards I'll look for a new car wash. @@normanbrown8772 As a matter of fact sometimes the machine for the touchless wash bay has issues with taking bills, I could swipe a card but I just drive off to another carwash that's a last resort backup.
What was the total cost of that system for the kiosk and how many washers and dryers? My fairly small 16 washer / 16 dryer laundromat is all coin and staying that way, I like collecting coins, counting cash, and none of my customers have ever asked for a card system, but several have told me they are happy I DON'T have a card system. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if Laundroworks reports you to the IRS for a 1099K. 18:15 - swap in a touch screen from another machine to get that one programmed? I always felt touch screens were too much of a gimmick, prone to damage, and I've read that they are very expensive to replace off warranty. None of those for me.
I bought if from locale laundromat equipment dealer. I got mine from Century Laundry Equipment in Iowa. Laundroworks you have to pay for before they order it. Since it is a custom equipment.
only bad thing is Cent bought it. But so far, they haven't messed it up. I'm hoping they realize it's their key product now to sell. Ditch their other ideas.
Because customers love storing their hard earned money in a laundormat owners bank account. Using the float is how Warren Buffet got started, just imagine what we can do with their money!
Hell no phone support no business.. a phone call is quicker then text and email . That not a good business decision and I wouldn’t do business with somebody like that personally
@ I didn’t know distributor gives you option of installing it yourself. Were you recommended 1 Laundroworks unit for the size of your laundromat? My distributor suggested to get X2 instead one goes bad, which I think he was trying to sell me more than what I need.
As a customer I'd never return If I was charged $1 for something that doesn't wash clothes. Get that $hit out and don't nickel and dime people. Eat the $1 card cost and write it off as a business expense on taxes.
agreed. The only reason they have cards is because they don't want to pay transaction fees. So they'll make people have membership cards and fill those up with dollars. And guess what? When someone loses a card that has money on it, and you absolutely know that will happen, then the laundry gets to keep that money. On top of all that you want to charge people a dollar to have a card? Silly.
@@JamesMartin2014 Yes, they are literally selling a laundromat gift card and banking on lost/forgotten/unusable money. A 2021 report from Bankrate estimated that approximately $15 billion worth of gift cards remained unspent in the U.S. at that time. The machines are priced so that the card dollar amount can never be fully spent because the machines cost is in coins ($2.25) but when adding money to a card there is no option to add coins to the card. So in this example they would at a minimum collect $0.75 for every single card in abandon money. It's all a scam targeting poor people because wealthy people son't use laundromats.
Yes, one benefit of staying all coin is that you only deposit the amount of money in the bank that you WANT the gubbermint to know about. Let them see enough.... but not everything! ;) I'm going to be cutting a few financial corners, shall we say, in 2025! I began trying it last month. I am all coin and wouldn't use a card system if it were free.
Yes, a bit strange. Wonder what the support is going to be like when things break and he needs parts/information? Hope it's explained more on the next video.
We most DEFINITELY have phone support with in-house, engineer-trained support staff. Please visit our website. It's in the footer and in the contact page.

If customer load card to start or reload with a 10 or 20. We give them a 2 dollar bonus. So actually card cost nothing. Then couple times a year we do double your money promotions.

I'm lucky all the laundromats in our town went to cards. People breaking into machines just got to be too much. Had to switch.
@ ok good luck . I hope you all the best but the car wash here doing the same thing was a disaster.

Doesn’t your supplier do the installation? How did you purchase directly from Laundroworks?
It got from a distributor, but I save like 9 grand installing myself.

Investment joy should use laundry works
I think so too!

LOL, if you register your card. When you come back in you can get a new one free of charge. O and guess what? It has your remaining balance on it.
Well, in town I'm in all the laundromats went to this. Mainly due to vandalism.
