As a recently turned 18 year old, I’ve been told multiple times by people my age, that I look and act too young. And lowkey got bullied for it. Social media ruined what teenagers are supposed to look and act like. And it gives us unrealistic expectations
Me too iam 14 and people in my school act grown dress grown and iam like different iam like weird because i dress different act different iam like an alien in my school
Don't listen to them. You both sound extremely bright and sensible. There's nothing wrong with behaving like teenagers, but there certainly is a problem with teens acting and dressing like grownups. Enjoy being young and have fun. I'm glad you're not giving into peer pressure as I'm pretty sure most will regret growing up so quickly when their older. These are the fun years of your life, enjoy them, there's no rush to grow up.
I was one of the kids who “grew up too quick”. I thought i had to become an adult to be cool. Now, as an adult i tend to go back to childish things. I collect toys and like to play games. I feel like i didnt have a complete childhood.
Sadly, there’s nothing for teenagers. Even Euphoria a show about teens is not recommended to underage people. We had the cheetah girls, high school musical, that’s so raven etc and it was cool to be a teen but now they don’t have nothing. I feel bad for them.
YES FR! as interesting as euphoria is, it’s not realistic!! edit: ok i see now that to some of you it’s realistic but it’s not always the case. it’s just from my pov how i see most high schools.
I think that's what made anime more main stream. Because, while not completely free from problematic aspects, it has whole genres basically dedicated to that age group
@@Anastasia-ro3oiit’s realistic for teens like me with an alcoholic mom who worked all night. I think it’s a horrible show for kids to watch cuz they’ll wanna feel included and emulate it. The early 2000s definitely had more wholesome teen content lol. Im still angry that Euphoria was allowed to be made. My teen hood left me with crippling PTSD in my 20s and from 21-24 I was disabled. Not a cool thing at all.
Yepp I was a teen in the mid 2000s-early 2010s and we had so many relatable shows that were age-appropriate. It was a great time to be a teen back then. Degrassi used to be my fav show
@@why-am-i-always-so-emotionalyou’re the reason women get away with it by making excuses. Crying about every single one of Jeffrey Epstein’s friends yet worship Nicki minaj when she directly supports both her husband giving him a child when and her brother when it’s common knowledge they’re child rapists
Blue Ivy is covered from neck to toe on tour with Beyoncé and she looks cute and she appropriate! If she can design multiple outfits for her then i don’t wanna hear excuses for parents dressing their young children in crop tops and shorty shorts.
I agree but it’s not showing skin that always makes an outfit inappropriate it’s the intention, you know what I mean? Like we shouldn’t romanticize the days when covering children entirely was considered good and girls who wore normal clothes are s1uts. Crop tops and short shorts (not booty shorts) r fine. I think (example) pretty little thing loungewear set with ruching on the butt and chest that shows no skin is inappropriate. And I think a hooters crop top is inappropriate. It’s about s3xualizing which can involve showing skin. It’s about how the clothes are showcasing the body. Are they showing skin/wearing it to be seen s3xy? Also you know blue Ivy wears crop tops and short (mid thigh) dresses.
Some people are clueless. My own mother bought my then 9 y/o daughter a crop top and super short shorts. I was like, “what is this?! No!! Absolutely not!! Why you buy her this outfit?!” My mom said, “she needs to dress like this while she’s young because she won’t be able to dress like this once she gets older.”😳 I was at a loss for words. All I could say is, “No!! She’s not wearing that. Take it back.”
i just turned 18 and i really don't understand why teenagers even those who are younger than me want to be so grown prematurely. The responsibilities to come??? the predators that are being invited???? I truly fail to understand.
as someone who will soon turn 18 (in 2 months) let me help you out: surroundings, neglectful/ ab*sive parents, friends, (cs) ab*se, mental health, hormones/puberty, family issues, relationships, the country they live in, the neighborhoods they live in, the people who live in their household, alc*hol, dr*gs, ignorance, health, peer pressure, books, movies, tv shows, social media, fantasies, clothing stores, etc… i’m pretty sure there are a few more i can touch on or expand on but because of youtubes rules i don’t think it will be allowed. hope this helped. /genuine
@@niylane i do get that. I'm from a South African township that has horrifying things going on. literally found someone murdered on my way to school, I also live in a broken home and I believe those are circumstances that *force*us to grow and up because we've got no other choice. but here I think it's people who are privileged that want to look grown and act grown, for example, Diddy's twins and Kylie Jenner when she was younger. those people have no reason at all to want to grow up fast tbh.
I blame everything on the parents, because who let’s their daughters go out and dress inappropriate in the first place? And the worst part is that there are pedophiles lurking through their pages🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Yessss … some of the replies I’ve come across on these pages are downright creepy and scary. A lot of them are profile pictures of grown men with full on beards and typical boomer sunglasses - complete strangers to these young girls, creeping on them and calling them “beautiful”. Then you go look at these peoples’ profiles and look at who they’re following … it’ll make you queasy. Let’s not also forget the weird older women who also creep on the young teenage boys, as well. SHEESH. So gross. The terrifying part about all of it is how open these young kids are with sharing every detail about their lives to complete strangers on the internet. They have grown up during the social media era of not understanding the concept of keeping IRL personal stuff off the internet, which was a complete 180° from how Gen X and Millennials were raised with the internet (we had TV PSAs that told the dangers of giving away real names online and everything). Now, since companies make billions from social media from people sharing their every detail to sell off their info to target then with ads … kids today think it’s totally normal to be such an open book as if there’s zero consequences to how much they share. Instead, it’s all out there for everyone to read - where they live, where they attend school, when they go to bed, where they’ll be going when they leave the house, if they’ll be alone with friends, if they’re home alone, etc. on top of giving out the most personal details that just shouldn’t be shared online no matter your age … and their parents? Not a single care in the world. Get those views, girlies~ All for these grown folks to creep on them, following them on all their socials, and constantly commenting trying to get noticed. Then when something horrible happens, the parents sit and act as if they have no idea how it was possible. 😕 It’s incredibly sad … and society has gone so far down this path now where parents only care about their kid being the next big influencer to make bank with no care about the creeps stalking them that I don’t think it’ll get any better unless social media gets the big boot. It’s depressing.
true i am a teen with divorced parents since childhood pretty much noticed this in my own parents, meanwhile my mom wanted me to dress all revealing and "sexy" my dad on the other hand, when i bonded with him again he explained why im too young for what my mom is teaching me and how i should be more like my age tbh i always felt uncomfortable with my mom's behavior but didnt speak up at that time because im scared of her (still am) but im glad she can't force anything on me now
And as far as Alabama Barker it baffles me how her father or mother does nothingggg! She’s BEEN grown for a long time! Especially her dad, what father would wanna see his daughter on social media being that way
Her dad or her mom did not grew up using the internet as kids/teenagers compare to her and her brother Landon; Travis did not know about online predators or grooming and he just like that he let his daughter to dress like a hoe; 17 is still child he didn't step up as much as Kourtney how she is strict with own kids but not her stepchildren.
I’m 20 and getting out of the age of wanting to be sexual or seen in a sexual light. When I was younger 15-18 I wanted to be seen as sexy or attractive and definitely over did it with certain actions and clothing. It attracted the wrong attention and put me in some bad situations that I regret. Now that I’m 20 and in college with An apartment and bills growing up sucks. I wish I would’ve understood that as a teen and allowed myself to be myself instead of seeking validation.
this!! as soon as i turned 20 i started to realize how i rushed growing up by wanting to act like an adult and seen as one. being grown is not that fun now that i’m 21 and i wish i would’ve spent more time just being a kid when i was younger. i remember the peak of kik and how that was probably what put me on wanting to be perceived as older, that and the rise of instagram. i really feel for the teens that want to rush growing up because of the things they see in the media. god forbid they want to act like a normal child and others their age will ridicule them for “not being grown enough.”
Blame capitalism not adulthood. Capitalism ruins lives so does wealthy corrupt corporatism. If we lived under true communism/anarchism we wouldn't have these problems..
@@ghost1ferIndeed. Being an adult especially as a woman is not fun, it is sad that girls have to follow shallow women like that on social media, to receive care. They need better role models.
These kids don’t understand that growing up is so beautiful. You all can do whatever you want, be as sexy as you want, once you reach 18. There are so many disgusting men out there watching these young kids plotting. There are men who see these girls and take advantage. It’s sad. We have to blame the parents. Regrets is one thing, but I'm confused why no one's questioning their childhood, as in if something happened to them. I was messed with in my younger teenage years, and I didn't tell anyone till I was in my 30's. However, best believe people knew something happened to me due to my behavior making a drastic shift from 9th to 10th grade. Keeping that pent up anger is revealing as I reflect upon it in my adulthood too. Right now I hate my family, but I thought at the time it's my family and I only have one; finding comfort in the uncomfortable.

Children will always do stupid things, especially when they get their hands on social media, and in 99,99% cases, they will regret it later in life. What bothers me is who are all those millions of adults following and possibly being obsessed with children on those social media? Any normal adult should not be interested, much less (God forbid!) aroused with photos or videos of a child, even the child is teenager over 14! What kind of people are those? That's super scary!
I'm sure there's creepy men lurking there guaranteed, but when you're aware that teens and kids are online what makes you so sure all those million of people are adults, and they're there aren't teeng girls similar in behaviour following her along with teen boys who are thirsting for her? Why does this generation always assume the weirdest and most disturbing scenarios? Every time there's a thirst comment under a minor, y'all are quick to call them q creep assuming it's not another minor? Like kids really are online these days they're even in yt comment section as young as 8-10. Might be kids even younger following this girl for their own aspirations to live grown nevermind a certain demographic of boys is always seeking out pron content..... To see 1+mil adults following a minor, that's crazy to me. I can't imagine. Just how many p's are out there in this world????
Travis Barker should be ashamed. His daughter Alabama posts inappropriate pictures of herself and he has comments on some of them complimenting her behavior.
@ayadhyist ur the only one who associated those things lol. Alabama DOES post pics that are far too grown AND she also acts black. Those are facts. Stop being weird.
“17 is a child” YES!! Even 19 is a child. You’re a teen still! These parents that allow their children to exploit themselves and get s*xualized are disgusting and despicable.
Natalie Portman was seventeen when she was in The Phantom Menace, and she was playing a fourteen-year-old girl. George Lucas made it clear that she was seventeen, playing a fourteen-year-old girl, and seventeen and fourteen is still a young girl. He even let her skip the premiere because finals were the next day for her, which is age-appropriate for a seventeen-year-old girl. Seventeen was very different in 1998.
I was just watching a video of the cheetah girls and someone made the comment how back then we had things for the tween stage in our lives, as opposed to now how it’s just straight from child to being grown (or trying to be so quickly). It’s really sad honestly how the girls in this era won’t really look back and have nostalgic moments of their girlhood like how us older mid 20 something’s girls do
This is so true. We had tween and teen idols who we grew up with. We also had sitcoms that taught us life lessons such as "That's So Raven", for instance. I don't see that for this generation.
Exactly. A lot of these girl start to wear make up at about 12/13 and lose their virginity’s around 13-15. I didn’t lose mine until I was damn near 20 and started using make up at 17/18. I was 20 getting mistaken for 16! 😂 they didn’t even want to sell me cigarettes. These girls are 17 looking my age! They’re not even old enough to drink but will hold a glass of liquor. Where the parents?

I'm a teenager, I'm afraid of teenagers nowadays, I always get "jokes" from "oh you don't understand Because you're a virgin. " Or you are So childish for your age. But I'm glad that I'm not like other teenagers, but I'm also worried about the children who follow these teenagers Influencers, why they now want to copy. This is my opinion 😊
You are right, I was the virgin of my friend group and they used to make fun of me for being “innocent”. It really doesn’t matter if you lose it or not, be more “grown” or not because at the end of the day you should enjoy your youth with out any pressure to try to be adult like, your time will come soon haha.
Honestly im a teenager to but im not gonna lose my v card cuz everyone else is I have standards and want to wait until I find someone who I fully trust
i just turned 19 and i still don't see myself as grown at all, i feel like i'm still a kid really, the fact that these kids are even younger and less experienced with life than i am and doing and posting this kind of stuff is insane...
18 year olds is still practically a kid as soon as you turn 18 your mindset doesn’t magically change to teenager to adult, the reason people made 18 the “adult” age is because their probably pedophiles and like people under the age of 20
I’m 12 and I’m honestly confused on why kids my age and older want to grow up so fast like when you’re actually an adult your going to regret not being a kid because you can’t go back
We have a 15 year old girl and it's a constant battle to keep her safe from herself. They think nothing of posing sexy and posting it to insta even if it's private. I told her imagine the most disgusting, old, creeper at the gas station getting a hold of your photos or seeing you walk around innocently living your life, jacking off to your photos. She was horrified and disgusted
Yep. And as soon as they see you and think they can get away with it, they have no problems stalking you online or in real life. With these online media, young kids don't understand the research obsessive creepers put in to find you in real life. Most don't even turn off the location status on Snapchat and other apps. Every guy can be a creeper, especially someone in your own town that keeps seeing you around.
I think revenge corn from teen boys is just as dangerous you should warn her of that too (meaning using her suggestive, explicit social media pics for blackmail, bullying, etc. Even a mean girl could do that...)
Can we talk about the confidence some of these girl have. I remember being 15 and being embarrassed of my boobs and I wore a jacket the whole summer. I was so awkward and shy.
I knew girls like this back in the day. Generally they have some serious issues they’re working out by soliciting attention any way they can. Trauma is as trauma does. Sad and upsetting her guardians are allowing and encouraging this. Woof.
alabama barker not only acts and dresses like a grown woman but has been putting on a blaccent and cosplaying as a black girl for a while now 😭 like her dad isn't a rich and famous rockstar. It's sad that kids aren't allowed to be kids anymore these days.
Dear God, it feels like Brooke Shields all over again. Those poor girls will never know what it's like to have an awkward phase and that having one is a rite of passage.
It's really scary and sad how there's no protection and boundaries for children that are clearly moving and growing up too fast from their parents. And I agree too, I used to be the same way younger, trying to show out but thankfully, my mom wasn't having it.
Children need privacy. With focus media these days we already have a tendency to overshare. There are certain moments kids need not share with the whole world, and often times they can’t consent when the parents are putting a camera in their face for views.
The exploitation (sexual, monetary or otherwise) of children is an epidemic and children just don't understand how dangerous it is for their development and mental health. The adults who don't provide appropriate oversight or actively contribute to this problem....shameful.
My 16 year old sis fell for this grown act & it’s so sad. My parents were super strict with my brother and I (I’m the oldest & my sister came 11 years after my brother) but when it comes to my sister they just kinda let her do whatever because “times have changed”. I’m 27 and my 16 year old sis looks close to my age if not older. It’s super sad but you can’t tell her anything , as I’m sure these parents can’t tell these “influencer teens” anything .
I remember being a little kid and wanting to have a highschool musical, cheetah girl, bratz lifestyle not an influencer lifestyle at the age of 14-16 I hate the peer pressure that they have on them now.
Exactly, I'm 19 and I used to look up to media like that and thought being a teen/tween would be so cool. Little girls don't have that anymore and I feel so bad for them. I would also like to add that I believe Bratz are problematic because of how sexualized their designs are, but that's a whole other conversation.
As a mother, this is so sad to me. My daughters are teens and I do my best to monitor and explain why I don’t like them posting certain things. My biggest fear is they grow up thinking looks and attention is the only thing that matters. As parents raising kids of the next generation, we can only hope that they gain common sense and discernment, realize there is more to life than the internet, and look for validation from within versus from others.
Im 14 and when i saw Aya and Alabama, my jaw DROPPED. Another day to be proud of deleting TikTok and Instagram, i don't need to be sexy or hot to have good grades and suceed in life, when i see some of my friends recommending me makeup i refuse, GenZ need to realize that most of us are YOUNG, and shouldn't expose ourself like that or praising those children. This is absolutely disgusting how people are fetishizing or hyping this, thanks to my parents who educated me well.
Thank you for speaking out on this!!! Social media is so dangerous for our youth!!! Makes me so sad how these parents are not protecting their kids!!! Save the children!
so glad i grew up in the era where a child star looked and acted like one(even tho they went thru alot behind the scenes🤦🏽♀️) kids today dnt even know abt kids bop or the amanda show or rushing to watch disney/nick/cartoon network

I would ALWAYS like religiously listen to Kidz Bop a couple years ago(2014-2019). But now that I’m 13, I see a lot of songs by Kidz Bop that aren’t exactly appropriate. And I remember a year ago I wanted to join Kidz Bop but thought against it bc in an article it stated that they were bullied.
Im 14 now and I’m happy I got to experience Dora and blaze and the monster racers etc it’s crazy to see 5 yr olds wearing long acrylics and 2 yr olds wearing crop tops and stuff I’m terrified for the new generations to come
Being a 15 year old girl (16 in November), I can't even tell you how damaging it's been to grow up watching all of these girls who are my age but 100000x more attractive😞
Frl i got insecure at 10 and even tho I’m rlly not insecure now (I’m 14) & wish I looked better, it has caused me to struggle with anxiety even the slightest noises will make me go insane 🥲
These girls are NOT normal, please know that you are beautifully unique! Social media is so toxic and promote beauty standards that are literally unachievable (plastic surgery, editing). I guarantee you these girls later on will have regrets. Real life is beautiful and so is being a kid. Take your time growing up! You will thank yourself later. Wish you the best 🩷
When I see stuff like this, I always say it’s the parents, not the kids. These kids aren’t raising themselves and they didn’t bring themselves into the world. It’s these parents whose morals left when they see money is involved.
you see this in kpop a lot too. agencies have been debuting literal children, it is so disgusting.. there were so many instances where young idols who were 14-17 had to dance/dress provocatively for viewers and fans.its even more creepy when u find out that most of the company ceos and managers are middle aged men...edit:i also want to mention the double standard that they have,so new jeans, a girl group had a song called cookie which has rly provocative lyrics, and everyone got mad(as they should)but when enhypen,a boy group, released fever, another song w provactive lyrics AND dance, with jungwon and niki being minors and nobody batted an eye?

I’m 19 and I still draw, wear plain clothes, spending my day watching Anime and my favorite gaming youtubers after coming back from my work and I’ve been told that I act way too childish for my age by my classmates and even by my close friends. I always get little jokey insults thrown at me by my friends when I don’t get a tiktok reference or wear what they call “outdated fashion”. Funny thing that all my friends were exactly like me like just a year ago until one of them got a lot of followers (I think 40k?)
Same. Currently 17 years old, but I'm chasing to age up around 18 years old. I'm not saying things to act like these "teenagers", I had two people in my family destroyed my life and my self-identity Guess what happened: *mental disorders and major depression.* My body is not in a good shape, I feel sluggish all the time and I'm very cynical when it comes to interacting with people. I cope all of them by watching anime and every day is a struggle. I couldn't even focus on my studies, I give a whole deep thoughts about not able to graduate from high school since the exam format is SPM in Malaysia. Don't tell me to get psychiatrist, mental health does not talk a lot among younger generations in my country since it's stigmatized as well. Similar like Japan, the needs for elder people is increasing. I did reach out for help but they didn't help a lot so which is a damn ass "thank you" (I went through narcissistic abuse for 10 years and here's what they said: "You should reconcile with your mom") Reconcile with a shitty narcissistic mother who doesn't love me back, compare me, sexualise me and so on feels like I'm double suiciding right now- 💀 My mom and my stepsister destroyed what I have and fucking greats, my mom still controls my life She doesn't want to see me happy. Just from those memories I have is enough for me not to care for my SPM at all, my brain have been deteriorated just by living with them Sorry that I vented out of nowhere, dear goodness it just got into me this much
not even just the black community, but everyone because believe it or not, we’re all created and crafted by God ! He didn’t create us to use our body in sexual ways to seek approval!! Sad Sad World we live in.
Growing up, my family wasn't the most fortunate and well off,so when i looked at these child influencers especially piper rockelle (who is about 2 years older than me) made me feel envious of the "amazing" lives other people my age seem be having. Although, i remember my mother telling me to never envy somebody because you do not know what goes on behind closed doors, or in context, when the camera is turned off. And as i grew older, i saw the true meaning of it. I can't picture myself being forced to post content and sometimes questionable content and act "grown" in the name of making money, it is all off. I'm glad and eternally grateful my mom allows me to be a kid and still enjoy childhood, because once it's gone, one can never ever get it back, so I'm taking the chance to cherish it while i still have it I feel for these people truly.I feel in five to ten years time (or maybe even less) we'll be seeing more "I'm Glad My Mom Died " kind of books.
It made me smile when you said a 19y/o is still a child. I feel like the years have been going by faster after I graduated so it was nice to hear that I'm still considered young
Love your channel! ❤️ Children under the age of 18 need to be completely off social media. It’s dangerous for exploitation and being influenced by creators that can cause mental issues.
It depends if a child is under 18 they can have social media I feel like they just have to be moderated like I what I mean by is they just need to be seen what they are watching
I literally cannot believe the Piper situation. I NEVER guessed that any of that happened. This is so disgusting. Her and the kids looked so happy but you never know what’s going on behind the scenes. Thank you for talking about it this. It was needed! Your content really help opens people’s eyes💕
As a 17 year old, I hated being limited with clothes and social media by my parents from about 12-15 but now I’ve grown to appreciate the fact that my parents allowed me to experience these things such as shorts, bikinis and even having a boyfriend at an appropriate age
When I was 16 I would see all these unrealistic beauty standards and wonder why I never looked like that. I was definitely a pick-me though and would tell everyone who asked why I never wore makeup that makeup was for insecure people. I know now that makeup is used to enhance what you already have, these influencers don’t just wear makeup. They permanently change their face so they constantly look snatched and damn near plastic. It’s scary, I feel so bad for these kids growing up now, they can’t escape this false reality that we’ve allowed to flourish. They’re seeing people their own age looking like they’re in their 30’s. That has to be so confusing for these kids. I’m 22 now and I never wanna look like those ppl. They all look the same, no personality, just ass shaking and talkin ab making money. This isn’t what life was meant to be, I hope we can figure out a way to change the stigma. We gotta do something for these kids, this shit ain’t right.
I’m also a teen born in 2007 and seeing what other girls my age or even younger, do on those social platforms is crazy to me. I understand that as a teen you want to act older, but what they are doing and mostly the fact that their parents approve of it, is just unacceptable.
i saw the thumbnail and thought “ummmm please tell me those aren’t kids/teens💀” i really think shows like Euphoria and social media have made teens feel like they need to be more grown. these days all i hear from people is “i wanna live fast die young” BRO WHAT😐 there’s no need to rush thru life. you have your whole life ahead of u so don’t feel like u gotta grow up asap.
PSA!! : Kids, it SUCKS being an adult!! It is NOT fun! Sure we have the freedom, but responsibility, SUCKS! What I’d give to still be a kid, living at home with not a care in the world besides homework and the outfit I want to wear to school! SLOW DOWN! Enjoy your youth! Be a kid and stop rushing to be an adult! You’ll get there one day so don’t rush it! These years are years you can never get back.
I turned 18 months ago, and I never really found myself wanting to act “grown.” It’s always occurred to me to be who I am and act my age. I feel sad for these girls, cause they are gonna regret their decisions in the future (mainly encouraged by their parents).
You channel is so great; you can tell you put so much time, effort and research into each subject you talk about in your videos. This one was really interesting!
WE NEEDED THIS VIDEO!!! especially jodie & alabama. im 23 & they look older than me! same thing with bhad bhabie- she just continues to look more & more… grown & racially ambiguous. its insane lol
Jodie is 17 bama is older t he n her but she doesn’t do the most or do inappropriate things like bama does she’s thirsty and her parents don’t care like she been fast sense she was 15 won’t be suprised if she whine up getting pregnant she already gotten exposed for messing with rappers in they damn mid 20’s allegedly
As a 16 year old girl, i do agree. I wanted to be and feel grown at some point because that was how I thought I will be accepted. Peer pressure has really gotten to me especially I want to make videos to make peoples days. I learn that I don’t need to conform to what these fast teenagers do,my personality is carried. I now express my wisdom and personality. I also noticed that people on her page wants to justify these behaviors as ‘oh there is teenagers around her age doing much worst!’’ , ‘’ around my age that was nothing’’, ‘’ I don’t care what y’all say, she ate.’’ It’s so disturbing because those people who would comment that often questions for further generations. What happened to the definition of youth? Teenagers wants to be grown so bad because of the thought of freedom; doing whatever the hell we want. As I learn that with age there is a set of limitation that protect our preciousness. We should allow and embrace being young because we will never ever have those days again!
In the 7th grade I was asked by 8th graders where I got my clothes after they “complimented them” and I responded “Mary Kate and Ashley from Walmart” unknowing it was a rhetorical question. I am 31 when I was 15 my MySpace song was by Disney teens “aly and aj chemicals react” and I remember being a sophomore and the kids in my journalism class making fun of the music I listened to. I didn’t realize i was low key being made fun of. I didn’t even know what MTV was when I was in Junior High, I only watched disney channels and everyone was watching Laguna Beach. I think I turned out okay!
I am 16 rn, I can't even begin to tell you how out of place I feel due to my classmates need to grow up. Everyone dresses in super tiny and short clothes, everyone insists on having sex before finishing high school, and it just scares me constantly. I grew so used to sexualization between girls my age, that I really didnt bat an eye when I was being sexualized by a groomer. This is so dangerous, and I really hate that even knowing how harmful growing up too fast is, I just can't help but look at myself and the mirror and think "what is wrong with me?"
gurl I really feel bad for y'all in western world, I'm from South east Asia so we r conservative kinda. I'm always shocked when I hear abt losing virginity pressure in SCHOOL. Many of us don't lose it even in university lol. Losing it in school, I can't imagine. .... hope u don't feel too much pressured, have good day
Personally, I’ve always hated house tours because it lets people know the in and out of your home especially if people know what state you stay in. I hated that for ADULTS. When people let little kids do it and post all online it scares me, especially because I don’t think people realize how EASY it is to find someone - much easier if their WHOLE life is online
I remember when I was 17 i was so sheltered, I didn’t know much about anything, I hung out with girls younger than me who were already active. They would be surprised that I wasn’t doing the same. These young influencers have parents who don’t care what they do since they are making so much money. Like why is a 16 year old twerking in a Ice Spice video?? Alabama Barker is on her way to being a rapper baby mama. 🙃 This whole IG baddie thing is really taking over. I’m glad I don’t have a daughter 😬
This is sad 😔... like oh my gosh. I'm at a loss for words, it's really giving "I'm not a regular mom, I'm a cool mom" from the parents, like YIKES! We have child labor laws right? But no laws & I mean strict condemnation for children in the public eye, social media & the entertainment industry? We see already the kids in professional entertainment, Hollywood & or Dance Mom's etc & what that does to these kids psychologically. Some people should not be allowed to take their babies home after birth, as dark as that is to say. Some people are not equipped to love & nurture children the right way. And lastly on the Danielle Khan girl, you don't need a birth certificate to tell you that she noticeably looks 12/13 in her older vids, without the make-up, very child-like in the face. It's disgusting, all of it. Off topic, I can see where weirdos like Sam Levinson gets his inspiration for some of his characters (ie. Cassie & Maddy) on Euphoria & why shows like that have so much weird popularity & I'll never forget a video that went viral from a Euphoria press tour that they were doing.. or something like that, I dunno where there were fans in the audience asking questions & there was a little girl who was a fan asking questions & the cast was jaw dropped. Our current media & depiction of high schools don't help either. I remember as early as the mid 2000's, kids & even celebrities would dress like they just came out of the mall in child to teen friendly wear (Hollister, American Eagle, Von Dutch, Hot Kohl's, Juicy Couture etc)
I gave up on social media a long long time ago. Just look at Amanda Bynes and Jeanette McCurdy that's solid proof on how damaging social media and money hungry parents can be. This is sad😔
i’m almost 18 and ppl have told me throughout all my teen years that i dress like a young child,,, i was wearing crop tops bright coloured tops regular bottoms- i see ppl 13 or under dressing in more tighter clothing and such and such,,, its horrible how much expectations have changed
Thank you sm for making this video, the only reason why other young girls defend Aya and her parents is because social media and Tiktok has made other young girls think that its totally normal. "Oh but shes having fun!" Girl im pretty sure shakin ass when ur 16 in a music video that millions will see isnt fun.. Did yall see the video of Kai Cenat reacting to the Deli music video and he was saying GYATT in aya's part. (Hes 21..). If you show a person on the street a picture of aya they would think shes a grown adult. Where are her parents at?? Tiktok has made it seem "Normal" for little teens to act like this when its legit not. And also Alabama, that girl looks like shes 25 stepping foot inside the club.. Thats wild
I'm almost 17, My birthday is September 20th 2006 and I'm not allowed to wear makeup, crop tops, have a boyfriend, and I got my first phone at 15 ( which my parents didn't buy) and it wasn't on. Couldn't call or text. I have a strict mom ( I don't have my dad in my life) and I'm grateful that I do. I'm not chasing boys, trying to have s*x, I don't wear revealing clothes . Sure I wear skirts, but that's because I like the school girl look, fariycore look, and Goth look. The one time I wore a crop top I took the initiative to put a long sports bra underneath that covered most of my skin and topped it with some High waisted jeans. My hair is usually short bubble curls that make me look a little older but NOT GROWN. I feel the women on the Internet could do a bit better at remembering that little girls are looking up to them, it's not the adult women's fault, but it's just the reality that's they are a main factor. So again I know it's not their fault but they could be a better example.
They need to ban children and family social media , TH-cam videos because it disgusting and it's not right. This just makes me sick and see how money can destroy lives and soul 😤😔😑.
I just want to compliment your maturity. I was somewhat shocked when you said you were only 22. You carry yourself so elegantly 👏🏼 and the verse in the beginning? I REALLY APPRECIATED that
i’m 20 but i did so many dangerous shit. i unfortunately contributed to underage 🌽. well, people posted my r@pe video on there first and i started posting after that to “take control” bc it wouldn’t be deleted. being a cam girl and talking to men who are 25+ when i was around 12 etc. i did this all the way until i was 18. it makes it worse cause i would disclose my age as well. all of it is deleted but digital footprint and now i’m constantly worried about my future career. also, for Danielle Cohn- you should of mentioned her having “Fan only content” when she was super young. In general, you should mention how these kid influencers automatically start an onlyfans when they turn 18
They definitely are going to regret a lot of what they did and post when they are older. I did a lot of this stuff as a teen before social and I'm 31 now regretting it. I remember a few years back some musician slid into Alabama barkers dm acting inappropriate and her dad got involved with it stating she was a child. The dude was like I'm sorry I thought she was older.
Whew what people will do to kids for money and fame. The kids speaking out about piper’s channel tells me the adults know what they are doing and the pervs they are attracting. Also, why weren’t the other parents protecting their kids from being exposed to such exploitation.
Ice spice and any adult who exploits or grooms a child should be held fully accountable regardless if they where already acting that way because they are adults they are old enough period and should do the right thing even though the parents are trash and only thinking about money but Ice Spice was only thinking about her video being popular so actually she was only thinking about money as well these kids are being exploited by everyone for money it's disgusting
call them out👏🏻👏🏻im sick and tired of people saying kids growing up too fast is normal nowadays when it shouldn’t be!!! we need to bring back childhood bc the memories it gives you are the best but now kids are getting traumatized by adults too young
The things these parents allow/force their children to do for money is ridiculous. Social media is still new and we have no idea how this will affect these girls in the future. Even from what we can see now it’s dangerous, damaging, and traumatizing. As for Alabama her persona/aesthetic changed from cutesy suburban girl to grown urban woman. Which I do think is largely due to black culture being very “in right now” on social media. Seeing as shes an influencer of sorts, of course she’ll follow the trend.
In about 10-15 years after possible drug abuse, alcoholism, possible baby daddy drama these poor young souls will look back and think “where was my mom and why didn’t she protect me”. Sad.

I'm about to turn 27 and everyone thinks I'm 19 possibly for the same reasons on what society thinks we should look like?
For real! Like I'm currently 17 and almost everyone in my school act like they're fully grown adults. Can we be real teenagers again?!
@@ily279 it's a little realistic especially for the teens who go out whenever they want and live a life where their parents don't care where they are
I think that's what made anime more main stream.

Thissss !!!!
Nothing wrog woh crop tops depending pn the type how er i do agree with the booty shorts
Some people are clueless. My own mother bought my then 9 y/o daughter a crop top and super short shorts. I was like, “what is this?! No!! Absolutely not!! Why you buy her this outfit?!”
My mom said, “she needs to dress like this while she’s young because she won’t be able to dress like this once she gets older.”😳
I was at a loss for words. All I could say is, “No!! She’s not wearing that. Take it back.”
i just turned 18 and i really don't understand why teenagers even those who are younger than me want to be so grown prematurely.
The responsibilities to come??? the predators that are being invited???? I truly fail to understand.
It’s because parents don’t make it easy to be a child. So they end up grown by choice or by force .

Get those views, girlies~
All for these grown folks to creep on them, following them on all their socials, and constantly commenting trying to get noticed.
Then when something horrible happens, the parents sit and act as if they have no idea how it was possible. 😕
It’s incredibly sad … and society has gone so far down this path now where parents only care about their kid being the next big influencer to make bank with no care about the creeps stalking them that I don’t think it’ll get any better unless social media gets the big boot. It’s depressing.
true i am a teen with divorced parents since childhood pretty much noticed this in my own parents, meanwhile my mom wanted me to dress all revealing and "sexy" my dad on the other hand, when i bonded with him again he explained why im too young for what my mom is teaching me and how i should be more like my age
tbh i always felt uncomfortable with my mom's behavior but didnt speak up at that time because im scared of her (still am) but im glad she can't force anything on me now
So glad I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s before social media became ubiquitous.

@@ms_nora90you mean young adult not a child 😂😂

This I feel the same way i just turned 20
You guys are kids. Your brain doesn’t even *begin* to finish developing until 25 for mature kids and 30 for the immature.
I'm 18 and the same way
18 years old here! I feel the same way.
18 year olds is still practically a kid as soon as you turn 18 your mindset doesn’t magically change to teenager to adult, the reason people made 18 the “adult” age is because their probably pedophiles and like people under the age of 20
As 15 years old this is genuinely scary to me that kids my age act like this and most of people seems to don't even care as if its it's normal
SAME! I’m 13 and I see this happening to those around my age and even younger.
Fr I’m 16 and I agree
I’m 12 and I’m honestly confused on why kids my age and older want to grow up so fast like when you’re actually an adult your going to regret not being a kid because you can’t go back
I’m 15 too and it’s rlly weird
People care, don’t forget that the internet is an extreme echo chamber.
This is such a good thing to teach teens thank you! A little rough but definitely would teach them
I think revenge corn from teen boys is just as dangerous you should warn her of that too (meaning using her suggestive, explicit social media pics for blackmail, bullying, etc. Even a mean girl could do that...)
Can we talk about the confidence some of these girl have. I remember being 15 and being embarrassed of my boobs and I wore a jacket the whole summer. I was so awkward and shy.
Girl same. It took a long time just to be comfortable
Right I’m 14 rn and this is still me
I knew girls like this back in the day. Generally they have some serious issues they’re working out by soliciting attention any way they can. Trauma is as trauma does. Sad and upsetting her guardians are allowing and encouraging this. Woof.

Dear God, it feels like Brooke Shields all over again. Those poor girls will never know what it's like to have an awkward phase and that having one is a rite of passage.
I say we give Brooke Shields full custody of all these kids bc their parents are greedy pimping trash.
I think there should be an age requirement and even then, there should be a law that requires parents to set aside half the earnings for that child.
Yes. I believe that will come later but it needs to happen soon!
There is it’s called a coogan account but I think it’s just for child actors
Well the fact that you mentioned that. I’m sure you know just the other day Illinois just passed the law.
Problem is, a lot of parents aren't very good at parenting, they'll abuse and take advantage of their kids..
Yes current laws only require parents set aside around 20-30% for the child and they get to keep 70-80%. Insane
People always blame the abuse victims as if they have control
My 16 year old sis fell for this grown act & it’s so sad. My parents were super strict with my brother and I (I’m the oldest & my sister came 11 years after my brother) but when it comes to my sister they just kinda let her do whatever because “times have changed”. I’m 27 and my 16 year old sis looks close to my age if not older. It’s super sad but you can’t tell her anything , as I’m sure these parents can’t tell these “influencer teens” anything .

I'm glad and eternally grateful my mom allows me to be a kid and still enjoy childhood, because once it's gone, one can never ever get it back, so I'm taking the chance to cherish it while i still have it
I feel for these people truly.I feel in five to ten years time (or maybe even less) we'll be seeing more "I'm Glad My Mom Died " kind of books.
It made me smile when you said a 19y/o is still a child. I feel like the years have been going by faster after I graduated so it was nice to hear that I'm still considered young

The exploitation of children is pure evil 😡

So many young souls are already lost … It’s so sad… on top these “influencers” are rotting other young souls…
I just want to compliment your maturity. I was somewhat shocked when you said you were only 22. You carry yourself so elegantly 👏🏼 and the verse in the beginning? I REALLY APPRECIATED that
Children should be protected from posting things…there’s so many creeps online
i’m 20 but i did so many dangerous shit. i unfortunately contributed to underage 🌽. well, people posted my r@pe video on there first and i started posting after that to “take control” bc it wouldn’t be deleted. being a cam girl and talking to men who are 25+ when i was around 12 etc. i did this all the way until i was 18. it makes it worse cause i would disclose my age as well. all of it is deleted but digital footprint and now i’m constantly worried about my future career.
also, for Danielle Cohn- you should of mentioned her having “Fan only content” when she was super young.
In general, you should mention how these kid influencers automatically start an onlyfans when they turn 18
oh my god dear, i am so sorry.....
I just wanna run to you and hug you bc no child should ever have to experience that. :(
I soo sorry you went through that.I wish you all the peace and love in the world
They definitely are going to regret a lot of what they did and post when they are older.
Sad.
Aya is LITERALLY. SO. BEAUTIFUL. LIKE, why's she doing all this?
She pays the bills
I feel so bad for Alabama Barker.
Also the grotesque obsession with Shanna Moakler by Kourtney Kardashian is fucking wild.
I’m happy you are talking about this topic, Because a lot of people defend this topic of exploitation of teenage and kid influencers.
