- A FUN Sunday at the Nar Valley Bloodhounds countryside ride, with my 'non horsey-but-now-quite-horsey boyfriend Rob riding Zack, and Jess riding Jim!
Ember was a superstar, it's great to be able to get him out to a variety of different events and places.

Ohhh Lucy you had me crying with laughter when you asked Rob how his balls were 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Omg it’s great to see you back on form. This was so fun to watch and what a lovely place I’d love to have ridden out there with you all amazing. Ember was strong but a good boy listening to you and Jess had fun jumping the logs etc. Rob you did a great job on Zack and looked like you were enjoying him which is a great sign well done. Zack and Rob did great! Well handled when Zack looked like he wanted to race!, Rob didn't panic and just went with it, best way to be! As his balance and core get's better, he'll be wanting to gallop next time!
Rob did amazing. I mean for a few of those canters he seemed to be the only one in control. Lol. What a s uper outing. And as always I'm so impressed how you ride Ember, how you can take his energy and just contain it and with a giggle (and/or curse word) on top.
The countryside is just incredible in England, great to see the GREEN and those splendid tracks, so lovely how spirits are always high on Hacks, Ember was very well behaved and Rob was a superstar, you are very patient and loving, Rob is blossoming and Zach is a true gentleman 🐎

Great ride in lovely countryside. Ember was really well behaved considering. 😅 we all know he is a handful but I sensed he enjoyed his ride with his mates. Rob is a natural. Maybe fet him out with the hounds next season......😊

Sort of… He certainly seems to be quite independent-minded. You dont have to explain your self for why ember may or may not be able to use a snaffle its completely okay if you feel you need that little bit more control because ultimately he is a race horse and he will always have that little bit of go in him people shouldnt judge you for what you ride in(unless obviously its abuse) im saying this just as it sounded like you needed to explain why he could or couldnt go in his snaffle

Are you frightened of Ember with regard to him just taking off with you?
Ember is an ex racehorse and lucy has spent a lot of time getting him to realise that’s not his life anymore. So she doesn’t want him to take off as he’s strong and powerful and doesn’t want to undo all of her hard work…
It’s also just very dangerous to let him tank off..
