I am a long time 7D2D pc player but I have learned something new. The whole tunnel up work around is loads better than slapping ladders against the wall. Thank you! 😊
This is a pretty awesome vid for beginners or new players it pretty much hit the nail on the head, a little thing missed out though is that coal doesnt spawn in the desert at all but above all else perfection!
I'm a new player I just got the ame for ps5 last week and your videos have been a major help. Thank you so much. I'm really enjoying the game just wish they explained some things a little better. Your videos have been a huge help!!!!!
Got most of the skills maxed out that i like so i thought id test out the robotic turrets and maxed out those skills, man, having 2 turrets watching your back while mining is amazing. Shouldve did that awhile ago, wouldve saved time jumping out of the hole every 2 mins killing screamer hordes
I'm a challenge and trophies hunter when it comes to these types of games. One of the challenges is getting the gold and silver nuggest and diamonds. I've randomly ran across those in a iron node but haven't ran into them since...is there a way to increase your chances of getting those resources? If there is I'd really like to find out how! Thanks for your videos they help, so keep it up!
Thanks for this. My main concern is cave in's. How often do i need to put up support pillars? Also thanks for mentioning gunpowder. I thought i needed a chem bench. Now i gotta go mining.
@@BaconBus that all depends on the surrounding materials but it also depends on how wide you are making your mining areas, a good rule is if you are using wood supports don't every four blocks, as you use stronger resources you should be able to increase the spacing just make sure that if you have dirt above you as it as no real support you might want to do cross beams as well
I was wondering if mining was the same as legacy, minus the nodes showing on the surface. Good introduction for newer players. In legacy, I made an open strip mine. Goes from surface all the way down to bedrock. I had so much material doing that.
THANK YOU!! I'm ashamed to admit I just figured out you have to HOLD the block place button to get shapes. I've heard the auger isn't really worth it now. Is that your opinion? That can be a mining 102 episode and maybe the mining gear as well. Also, what mods are helpful?
@@nema151 as someone who has been playing it every day since new console came out, going full strength every time, here's my opinion, YES, the Auger can be VERY nice. Yes it generates a lot of heat, and yes you can one shot ores with the steel pickaxe (settings may vary) but there's several factors missed out. One key thing in the augers favor? Mass digging clay, dirt, and sand, it is FAR superior for that. This is also good for mining ore, cause as you mine ore out sometimes you get dirt and sand and all nearby that either looks like the ore due to neighbor coloring, or is just in the way, the auger will basically ignore this and dig straight through while the pickaxe you probably need to take a second to change to shovel. Ultimately,my opinion is to have both pick and auger, maxed pickaxe can be super useful but augers are still strong, fast, no stamina use, and just plain FUN. End of the day, the only consideration for a true miner is preference, and heat management. Do either.
Which plants are the best to farm? I have 100/100 cooking books read. Does that mean I’ll start to find less of them now? When I find them, do I get anything new? Or just exp?
I've got a question for you Mr Spartan. On the new 1.0 to get the poi's to respawn loot in them would that be setting up that chunk setting on there? Because I have the loot respawn on and only very few things come back. I was just wondering if you might know?
Imo strip mining isn't worth it unless your main goal is stone and want some random extra minerals along the way. If you actually need a specific ore it's way faster and more efficient to just go to the node and harvest it I also think if your doing it for ores it isn't worth it till you can get to the point where you can one shot stone. Otherwise it's just going to be too slow to be worth the time.
I keep finding duplicate lucky looters. Let’s say I read 12 brass related lucky looters, would I have 12x whatever percentage boost I get from finding brass?
I appreciate the effort you took to make this video but it's INCREDIBLY drawn out. This could have been condensed into a 4 minute video that gets straight to the point

Ahh good catch I haven’t mined in the desert much in 1.0
For when you know will be placing and upgrading blocks, if have the res you can build em.

Those auto turrets are awesome!!
I got to 7 days and I killed like 30 zombies just with a machete and steroids during hoard night
Machete is so good!!
@@Spartan85 yea I put a diamond or something like that on the blade
great stuff!
Thanks!
Both me and my wife have found oil shale in caves in the fertile area
Well done
Thanks Spartan.
You bet

Good info i started mine in the side of a mountain and going down at 45
That’s a good idea!!
Dude I went through two horde nights before i realized you could mine UNDER the nodes😅

Honestly would be nice to get a forge and workbench guide walk through skills and what not and what resources are best to use and your overall tips
As I see you use the forge lol 2 mins after my comment

You can do that too!!
Excellent video. So bummed, though, to learn that you can't "hide" forges & other crafting benches down at bedrock anymore.
THANK YOU!!

Should only spawn the loot, not the actual items that were destroyed.
Can you hit ore from bedrock?
I start up all the gear then go out looting and foraging. So no screamers and stuff is done when i get back.
Best way to do it!!

Question for the miners if I max out mother load n no points in miner69r am I getting maximum resources per block ?
Yes.
And a 4th forge for glass.
@@rattdoggsgaming you gonna eat the glass? 🤣

No after you know the books, they just give minimal xp. Best to sell them
So where the fk do you get this nail gun that thing is savage lol
