9:10 that scene is basically a symbolism of how Tadano pulls Komi from the "shade" of her communication disorder. Pretty simple yet deep.

Oh man you gotta love it. This show has quite a few symbolisms but they are so fun.
Tadano’s voice actor does such a good job, his delivery is so soothing and chill. Kind of amazing he also voices Asta.
Funny enough, he does go and say hi when she's at the park in the manga, and she gets all flustered and runs off. Don't know why they changed it, but I kinda like that he's seeing her having a good time on her own, and didn't wanna interrupt it. Similar to how earlier she tries not to rely on him too much for making friends. It's wholesome that they have such a mutual respect for eachother

I actually really liked Tadano's decision to not say hi to Komi. He noticed that she was doing things on her own and was happy
I don't know why, but the sequence (10:44-11:38) where Komi and her father (named Komi Masayoshi) went to the restaurant to eat shaved ice (a popular summer cuisine in Japan) looked kind of similar to a scene from the anime, as well as the manga After The Rain, where Tachibana Akira and Kondo Masami went to a restaurant. I wonder, this series really did a nice job evoking the nostalgia of some memorable scenes from After The Rain.
I still cant believe they captured the essence of the manga so well in the anime. Since she doesn't talk much the manga panels are filled with chat bubbles explaining what she's feeling or trying to say, and yet in the anime they manga to pull them off so smoothly its crazy. Plus the art style is so close to how cute the manga is

She fell first AND harder 😏
She does but at this time she doesn’t know that it’s romantic. Tadano was her first friend ever. She realise those feelings later in the manga.
As for tadano he simply have inferiority complex and thinks that he’s not good enough for Komi

Chadano at is best. Tadano and Komi are just so adorable together that time flies by watching them.
Also, I don't know if we'll see it in season 3, but there are several chapters focusing on the meeting between Komi's parents, when they were also in high school, and Komi's father, was a real chad too.

@@Anino_Makata I expressed myself badly, I meant IF we have a season 3, but there is a good chance all the same, it would be a shame if they tease certain characters for us at the end of season 2, and that we never see them.
@@spadeas49 Truly, the reason why I asked in the way I did was because I was still concerned over the anime's lackluster reception in homeland Japan. It's been so long since Season 2 concluded that I feared we may not a third season.
Here's to hoping I'm wrong though!

lol on the version I watched originally, the Tadano discovered a new "thrill" was actually "fetish" lol which kinda makes more sense.
Also the swimsuit shopping part was Yamai's only redeeming sequence lol.
Komi + Chadano is so great and I love this ep with him holding out his hand to Komi at the pool. Soo cute to see them do that when she was down.
No one can watch this show without fell in love for Chadano, the master of the chads, a man in a billion!
The sight of Komi holding her breath underwater was too cute for anybody to handle.

I doubt anyone will agree, but I think Yamai was doing Komi a favor getting her that swimsuit.

As horrendous Yamai can be, she has her moments where she actually pulls through and does Komi-san and others a solid.
Pretty sure an episode or two later, Komi says that Tadano should have said hi at the library

Fun fact: there's a live action version of Komi too. I went with low expectations, so I ended up enjoying it quite a lot.
I think it was mostly a good adaptation, the only thing that didn't translate too well to live-action was Katai-kun.
Kind of expected, since only a young Arnold Schwarzenegger could match his physique. But... where can this live action Komi be viewed, if I may inquire?

I don't think it was bad. All acting was great, except for Katai which was cringy for being too over-the-top. In fact this must be why he only appears in the first half. And like you said there's also the bad casting - it could have worked if they used a taller guy with at least a bit of muscle and who looks too old to be in high-school (even if they had to use a foreigner). His weird faces were supposed to be funny, but it didn't land, so they should have just toned it down.
@@rexarsenio9447 Did you drop it or watch it until the end? It gets better at the latter half, when they change Katai for Naruse.
Most characters from the anime wouldn't translate well into live-action without being too weird or cringy, and I think other than Katai, they did a pretty good job in their pick. Yamai for example wouldn't work, so they changed one of her lines to Najimi.
Manbagi-san was really cute, and Naruse was excellent, I really liked them and their arcs. Tadano, Komi and Najimi were pretty much what I expected. I liked specially Tadano, which was quite charismatic, and the way they represented his inner thoughts.
Komi's neutral expression works really well too IMO, as for what such hardcore introvert would look like IRL. The only issue I've seen brought up in reviews is that not enough time was focused on Komi's struggles (e.g. a backstory) which is not enough to connect with the character, at least if you haven't seen the anime. I suppose that's a fair point, but it didn't bother me since I already knew her character.
Aside from that, I think the live action form does a decent job w.r.t. the "intention" of the anime, to represent what people with such struggles and their relationships would actually look like IRL.
3:34 Najimi always reminds me of Hideyoshi from Baka and Test.
