I don't like how they altered their scenes together. The way the show portrayed this was almost as if Suki was aggressively pursuing Sokka while trying to show off her skills, but that's not how it happened. It was Sokka who was trying to prove to her how good he was, because he was actually a misogynist. Suki was completely indifferent to Sokka until he demonstrated humility and the will to learn from the Kiyoshi warriors, and admitted how arrogant and wrong he was. He showed respect to her, and in exchange Suki accepted to train him, and while doing that, she lowered her guard, showing more of herself as a girl, other than a warrior. And that's what sparked their attraction. Suki wasn't pursuing Sokka just because he's handsome, she recognized him as a honorable man worthy of her attention. This was the perfect opportunity to talk about sexism in a context where it actually respects the source material and it's not forced in, I cannot understand why did they feel the need to change this. It was a crucial part of Sokka's character development, they made him so one dimentional in the series. Kind of how they made Aang more serious and responsible, when his entire character arc revolves around him accepting his role and responsibilities as the Avatar. It's a shame because the actors are INSANELY TALENTED and clearly invested in their role, and managed to still make up for the poor writing with their incredible skills. I hope to see them more often in future series, they are absolutely crazy good despite their age.
I think the casting was great, and the actors had good chemistry, but I honestly think the original didn't just do it better, but it was also more mature and nuanced. This felt more like a cute little crush versus Sokka having character growth, and them both slowly begin to see something in the other. Just my opinion.
After leaving Kyoshi island, Katara asks Sokka who keeps pining for Suki’s fan: Katara: So this means you don’t wanna go home anymore? Sokka: And let you guys have all the fun? Besides, someone’s gotta help the kid. This could get tough for him.

Yue was a good person, she liked Sokka for his heart. I can see why Sokka fell for her. Same for Suki, she fell in love with him for his bravery, courage, and will/desire to be strong. Both girls loved HIM and that’s why he loved both of them as well. For their genuine soul, strong personalities, and resilient spirits.
Why do you think Hahn wasn’t romantically interested in her? He was pretty much forced into the engagement. I’m not defending him but yeah it was tragic.
It doesn’t have to be all accurate but considering how small her role was in Serpents Pass she probably won’t even be there when they adapt the episode and instead give her scenes to the group
Bruh this show is PG-13 highly doubt they’ll show any nudity but if they’re gonna show us the brutality of people getting burnt to crisps by the fire benders then I don’t see why not
