I still can't get over the fact that they decided to lie to her instead of telling her earlier so she'd have more time to record her memories and stuff :') and I don't like how they made decisions on her behalf even though she's the one undergoing surgery but I get it's part of the plot but god it annoys me :')
You want her to record her memories bcoz you think she gonna choose to do the surgery. But what if she decide to NOT do the surgery? With her stubbornness n following her emotion, she could choose that (and she did). Thats the scariest thing to her family and they want to prevent that. As the doc said, they need to do the surgery fast bcoz her condition is getting worse. If she's staying in korea and prolong the decision, she might loose the chance to a successful surgery.
The character of Grace is irritating for sure but look at it from her point of view. It’s self preservation. She didn’t come from money or influence. She got used to being around the ultra wealthy and all that luxury so it’s natural for her to want it too. The Hong family used to talk down to her so she sided with people she thought she could trust because they came from similar status. Then these people started talking down to her too so she switches sides and plays the fence so she will come out ok regardless of who wins in their war. It’s not morally upstanding but you can understand why she is the way she is. I like doing character studies to see if the character is well written. Very few things annoy me more (and takes me out of the story) than when a character does things that don’t make sense.
To be honest it's interesting hearing your opinion on her character. It makes more sense why she is the way that she is. Very annoying but I understand 😭😭😭😭
