"You're young, you'll find love again" is a terrible thing to say to someone who just lost their wife and mother of their child.

@@gloriasaliba3395I totally agree. My husband passed and I had the same thing said to me. I guess people do not know what to say rather than to say nothing. All I had was deep grief at that time and that was the last thing I wanted to hear.

That’s only one of the cliches thrown around to grieving people. I too was widowed at a young age and had many well meaning people try to comfort me with far worse things said. The list is so long of the very miss placed words of advice given to me, as a result if I meet a recently bereaved person I hug them and say nothing, words cannot express the loss you feel when loosing a loved one. It’s important to just be there, so say you care and you understand. No one understands unless they have been in your shoes. Regards Helen

My daughter and one of her friends worked in the nursery at his church. I attended there one Sunday as well. I really enjoyed the service! I had been sick and my daughter told Pastor Davey that. He came to our home with a bag of food from Maggianos!! He was so kind! He even asked if I needed help around the house with anything! I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated when I saw this story about his wife!!! I’m so glad he has found love and forgiveness!! May the Lord continue to bless you, your family and your church!! 🙏🏽❤️

Beautiful. I too was widowed at a young age. As a Christian woman I was left to raise three young girls ages 6, 4 and eighteen months. After time I came to terms with what had happened, I too remarried. The only way I could make sense of things as a Christian is, if my story could help someone else who was suffering. It’s been 25 years, I’d like to think I’ve helped others in some way. I’m no pastor or public speaker, but I try to speak into lives of anyone that comes across my life’s path that might need encouragement about grief, in any form. God bless you for sharing your story of hope and life after bereavement

To be honest their length of incarceration is likely longer than any judgement would be made in Australia. I really hope they find personal healing and faith in Jesus. It has been so many years but when I hear your story, I still mourn for my sister. My brother-in-law was a pastor too. At 10:00 am while he was at work, an intruder broke into my sister''s home where she and 2 of her 3 young children were starting their day. My sister was raped and strangled to death. There was no reason. Her babies were unharmed physically. I shove it out of my mind. Why? She was so giving and loving. WHY?! Her daughter, my niece, died last year 30+ years after her mom. She doesn't remember her mom, my sweet sister. How do we forgive? I still miss my sister. Thank God I believe, but it is still so hard...like it was yesterday. My tears will never stop. I saw this story awhile back on You Tube and I got the impression that he had hired those guys to murder his wife. And he left the door unlocked even though it was dark outside when he left? And his pregnant wife and child were in the house alone? And he left later than usual for the gym. And their dog didn't deter her murder? And after the gym, he was in his vehicle outside his home for a long time talking to a friend, so he wouldn't wake them? I don't remember all the details anymore. There was another case of a wife who poisoned her husband with Fentanyl and wrote a book for her sons about their dad.

I read this story quite some time ago but it was from a different viewpoint accusing him of being involved in this young woman's death.
Didn't he leave a door unlocked, when he knew there were burglaries around him and didn't he start dating less than a year after his wife's brutal murder.
How many men have we read about married baby another baby on the way and all of a sudden the wife dies, murdered, disappears.

I never for a second thought it was him. He was a pastor at our former church in SC and he was always happy and smiling. He speaks well of Amanda but him and her were so much alike in heart. He's a caring, giving, and loving person. I remember when the announcement came that him and Amanda were moving to Indianapolis. I was sad to see them leave but happy for them and the people they would bless. Davie came back to SC to speak at a conference a couple of months before she was killed. He was so happy you could hear him smiling when he talked about her and their little baby. He's very much a full glass kind of person.

That aside, I don't care where you live don't EVER think you're safe that's just foolish. I have always thought he was involved somehow--Idk how--but somehow. As a believer/follower of Jesus Christ myself, I find it odd that he, a PASTOR, doesn't mention HIM one time in this interview.
