$300 or $400? Damm, I paid $650 with tax and background dros fees. We always have to pay premium prices here in California.

Most have gotten a hook up on the price or someone looking to make room for inventory. On PSA, Gun Broker, and the all the gun shops here in CO they are 500+

Just purchased my MK4 today. I've owned my MK2 competition slab side for 30 years. I hated the disassembly of my MK2 but love it's accuracy. The MK4 takes care of the tear down hassle. Let's see how it compares for accuracy to my MK2.

I bought a mk4 and it would not shoot a full clip without some kind of jam no matter what ammo i was going to send it back to ruger with a f- you note but decided to change a few parts first I change the firing pin and extractor and install a magazine disconnect and a blast shield now it will shot anything without a jam to bad I had to put another 40 or 50 bucks in the gun I have 3 others that I have not had any problems except I wore one out and ruger rebuild it for free ruger does have a great return policy I've never had them charge to rebuild a gun.😢

For us military guys the safety works like the 92f then?

I bought mine after they had a safety recall. I noted that my shot always landed to the left when both the rear sight and the front sight were aligned at the center. I put a level on the rear sight and one on top of the front sight, when the bubble on the level on the rear sight was centered, the bubble on the level of the front sight was on the left. The front sight was crooked and bent toward the right and that's why I shot to the left.
The barrel also rattles when mounted on the frame, Ruger decided to use a rubber bushing to prevent that from happening but that little bushing could wear out quickly.
In my opinion, my MkIV came with 1 design defect and 1 quality defect. I would not trust a firearm from a manufacturer which does not know how to design a firearm right and has problem on installing the front sight centered.

I have recently watched several MKlV target reviews. None of the pistols have had threaded barrels. Mine does. Is mine an anomaly ? Don’t think so.

The Target model and the Hunter model are similar in basic operation, but offer different features. The Hunter model has a fluted barrel for weight reduction, where the Target model has a heavier profile barrel for accuracy and recoil reduction. The Hunter has a high-vis fiber optic front sight for a quicker shot, where the Target has a larger front sight for better accuracy. The Target model just happened to be the one we had available to shoot the video with.
