“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
    Philippians 4:6-7

It’s something you look around you and seemingly people don’t have to go through the same thing as you I’ve had to be emptied of so much selfishness it’s just some of us are naturally more hard than others but faith keeps you moving forward knowing God completes the work he has begun and that’s comfort I love the way God worked in Adrian’s life thanks for his sermons

Also sometimes not going to a church with you studying praying at home will get you closer to God
Draw nigh to God he’ll draw closer to you
Also where 2 or three are gathered he’s in the midst

I'm not sure what you mean by your first statement but we are instructed in Scripture to go to church. It is by the spoken word of God that our foundation is established and the fellowship of the brethren that assist in the building up.
And to your comment "where 2 or 3 are gathered": The context of this teaching is church discipline speaking of on the word of 2 or 3 witnesses a matter is established. When I am by myself He is with me and will never leave me. This verse is used outside of context quite often.

1Corinthians1o:13-Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm, at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.Amen.God bless to Paster Adrian Rogers.

The bottom can fall out for sure but no matter if you go to church as a belivee or not has nothing to do with your relationship with Christ it’s not based on church or giving or anything
Some belivers thar go to church hearts may not be there just because you are there Doesn’t mean you are fully there
We are the church and no matter if we are in a building or not doenst make or break our eternal standing and personal walk and relationships with Christ or our families etc

@@bienvenidovelasco6834Maybe your focus is in the wrong place. I love going to church because it's easier to be in fellowship with God when you're surrounded by like minded people. It's where I'm at peace without having to worry so much about the cares of the world, (make sure you put your phone on "do not disturb", that's so distracting.
Your focus should be on what you can offer rather than what you can get. We are to build each other up and we help hold each other up. Just as we should enjoy the company of our family we should enjoy the company of the family of God all the more.
I will pray for the peace of Christ to be within your heart and God's direction in your life to be clear.
      May God richly bless you.

What about when the bottom falls out of life, in general? 2 Tim 1:7 talks about God not giving us the spirit of fear, but when life just keeps adding adversities, it's easy to wonder WHO is at the helm.

    Luke 14:27-35
And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
    KJV

    "Faithfull to the church".
    Here we have the problem.
    This will not help.
    What we need is:
Faithfull to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
This is required for everyone who belongs to the Body of Christ.

I don't understand as to why there's an add inbetween ... can't that be made either at the beginning or at the end? Would Dr. Rogers let you do such a thing in the middle of his preaching?

@@oreally8605What is this guy talking about? I haven't seen this comment before and don't understand why it's asked. Of course Adrian Rogers preached the message. Is jeffreyschoonover trying to take away from the work God is doing through Adrian Rogers? Why is this guy watching the sermon if he's just going to mock it.
I pray that as he listens God will speak to his heart and repentance is brought about whereby salvation will be established.

It's interesting that he cites Matthew 16:16-19
As an illustration, but we have to be careful that when we just cite a Bible verse without contextual backdrop, that gap Satan is a gap exploiter - you have the entire Catholic marketing apparatus taking Peter and exploiting paper Peter as the "rock", that they built their Church on... course obviously they came later and wasn't the point, the point is this.
The appropriate thing would have been to cite the entire passage of scripture to gain contextual understanding, Jesus was not talking specifically to Peter when he said upon this Rock I will build my church, he was addressing all of the disciples but asked Peter one question, that's the only time he was addressed - then he went on to complete his thought by addressing the whole group.
The church is the rock, no longer made out of stone, but through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is now part of our witness and our walk... our witness because the changes are observed by others... which now becomes a witness, and our walk because it becomes our discipleship - because the temple now being our bodies...
Verses 13 through 15 make it clear that Jesus was addressing all of the disciples until Peter was singled out specifically to ask him his opinion...
Taking the response and then building a dogma out of it what is the height of heresy - trying to take this thing out of context, because in the same passage of scripture following, Jesus turns right around and sternly rebukes Satan through Peter, telling Satan to "get thee me behind me"
If the Lord was in fact just talking to Peter (parenthetically speaking) telling him what he would be, then the satanic rebuke wouldn't have been the case following.
In understanding the word of God, we have the Holy Spirit guide our thoughts and our perceptions so they confess that is say the same thing as what God is communicating through his word...
Not making things up, or implying other things... or, in some cases inadvertently because we're too busy trying to make a point, express something that's a little inaccurate.
Satan dwells in the inaccuracies... Remember his number one goal is to pervert the word and has been doing it since the garden.
Accuracy should always be a high priority when we communicate.
I adore Adrian Rogers, but we have got to strive for accuracy and not get so caught up in storytelling... I have the same thing to say about John Hagee, and Tony Evans.
They are solid Bible teachers, they have their issues, none of them are perfect, and that's what has to be considered in all of this - 100% of what they say anyone's going to always agree with, because some of these guys are theologically trained, and they tend to in their minds to build their own doctrines, and people catch wind of it and they know when to shut it off - but that does not mean these are not good, solid teachers.
It just means we have to know the word of God... so we can rightly defend it not being misrepresented out of error.

Great message up until he threw 1John 2:19 in there. If someone leaves a Church they are not anti-christs. Adrian quoted the whole passage rightly but i don't think he was listening to what he is saying.
Going to Church (assembling with believers) doesn't make one a Christian BUT a true Christian loves to assemble with the believers because it is the body of Christ where Christ is the head.

All your posts suggests that you are in a lot of pain, my friend. I don't know what you are going through but know that God cares and has told us cast our burdens on Him, (1 Peter 5:7). And Jesus bids us to come to Him if we are heavy laden and He will give us rest (Matt. 11:28-30).
I pray, my friend, that you will take your situations to the Lord. I pray, Father, that You search Jeffrey's heart deep down and find what is the root of his pain and bring healing to his soul. I pray, Lord, that You put Your healing hand upon his body and give him peace of mind knowing that You have all things under Your control. Guide the doctors and staff in the direction necessary to determine the best outcome for Jo and put a calmness in him like only You can.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, and it is in Your name I pray. Amen.

I lost getting a job that was a great job and paid well but it was not where God wanted me so He closed the door. However He opened another that is more suitable for me and still pays well. God knows our needs and is at work to provide for us, it is our responsibility to seek first the kingdom of God and His rightness and all these things will be given. Put your faith and hope in Jesus, not in what you see around you and, like Peter, you too will walk on water.
