every scene with du cheng and fang kai yi is intense even when they aren't yelling or arguing. their tone, facial expression and eye contact in each scene is marvelous
no but i'm with fang kai yi when he got all emotional after the statement "i did everything because of you" like girl be serious you knew how wrong it sounded 😭😭😭 it's frustrating when someone did something so vile then made "in the name of love" as an excuse. kudos to him letting his anger out by throwing that vase instead of hitting her or doing any other kind of harm, although it was still kinda stressful to watch

I think the lady set him up, I can't remember her name, I get confused with Chinese names at times, forgive me. There are two villains so far for me, the lady and Fang.
I think Tan Ke Ying is killed by both Fang and An Lu Ran because she knows both of their secrets. He did illegal embryo gene editing experiment and An Lu Ran benefitted from it.

My only qualm with this season isnt the focus on Shen Yi, just the lack of the original dynamic between SY and the police, the scriptwriters have made a lot of the police characters *blander* to show SY doing EVERYTHING the others wouldve originally done whether its inline with his role or not. Otherwise the insight into how SY blurs the lines between him as an artist and policeman really is interesting. P.S. It was nice to exchange opinions with you!
They made Du Cheng's character one dimensional and his personal feelings just revolved around Shen Yi. I like their relationship in S2 but it's more about Shen Yi's character development and it lacked Du Cheng's. I guess it can't be helped because he doesn't have much of a traumatic or complex backstory enough to balance Shen Yi's.
