What room did you book? We were thinking of getting the cheapest room since we will be out most of the time and will only use the room to sleep and shower😅 How's the wifi in the room (since we still have to do a little remote work)
@@mariajewelpatterson7157 we went for the basic room aswell! There is so much to do in the hotel and you've got to make the most of the all inclusive! Hotel room wifi was fine I didn't have any issues in the 2 weeks I was there, sometimes abit weaker by the pools but nothing crazy, have a great time!
I already visited that hotel and it's really awesome. I just have one question, they didn't make you sign a paper were says that Is not allowed to feed the animals? Just a friendly reminder that even of you do it with good intention you can actually harm them and it's a bit concerning if you invite other guests to do the same
Nice to see you feeding the iguanas we fed them fresh fruit every day stayed there in 2018 didnt think much of the food but the resort is beautiful. We went to tulum last year at the akumel luxury and it was even better than this resort!!
"Hi Sam, I loved your trip report on the Occidental at Xcaret! If you’re planning more travels and looking for smarter ways to save money, feel free to reach out. There might be something interesting for you. Cheers!"
This is a great video, thank you! We're going for two weeks in August, interested to know how long it took you to get a table at the al a cart Mexican restaurant? I've seen a few videos from people that had to queue for like an hour from 7am to get a reservation, interested to know if this was your experience :)
Thanks very much! You will have a great time, so the days that we got up early there were always other people there, I never spent more than 30 mins waiting but when we went to the restaurant that night it was not busy at all so I think we could have got away with going later, however we did go in May which is technically their off season, let me know if you have anymore questions! Happy to help
Hiya, I have another question! How much would you say is a good amount to take for the two weeks for tips? Trying to figure out how many pesos we need!
@@jadetowner7254 we were there for 2 weeks we took I think roughly £500 in cash between me and my girlfriend, this was split £300 in pesos and £200 in dollars for outside the resort and cabs and stuff we were tipping about 50 (about £2.5-£3) pesos for meals and leaving the maids 50 (this is a good way to get extra drinks and stuff in the mini fridge
@@sophieliz1 yes I am gluten free, the hotel had lots of gluten free options at the buffet and a la carte restaurants but the snack bar above the pool was not good for gluten free!
Great video man! We are heading there next month and your video really has us excited!

Would never stay there I rather just save up more and stay at Xcaret Mexico
Oh really? Why is that? We had access to xcaret every day included in our hotel price
